Hi Videofit,

Are you using this one:

http://www.cerave.com/our-products/m...urizing-lotion

Or one of these:

http://www.cerave.com/our-products/s...-lotion-spf-50

http://www.cerave.com/our-products/s...-lotion-spf-30

The second ones will make you look like a vampire, but I don't have that problem w/ the first one (the A.M. Facial Moisturizing Lotion).

Donna

P.S. I'm a big Margaret Richard fan, too!

It's awesome! I picked it up when Ulta was having their 20% off sale and also used Ebates. So I think that I got it for about 28% off..

Natural Help /Essential Oils for Acne?

I don't know much about essential oils but have started reading about them. Does anyone know if they help with teen acne? I've read about tea tree oil, clary, and rosemary but I'm not convinced since I don't know anyone who uses them for this reason.

If you do use them or if you use something that is all natural and it works, could you please let me know the brand? I've been looking on Amazon for some all natural facial cleansers but I just don't know what to purchase.

Thank you.

I recently purchased (maybe with a coupon code cuz it's pricey) Lancome's lip lover gloss and it is amazing!! It's a moisturizing balm and gloss in one with great color and it lasts even after the shine wears off. I woke up this morning with soft rosy lips from wearing it last night. Anyway, my question is does anyone know of a cheaper dupe for this because I can't afford $23.50 for lip gloss (though it is worth it!!) I was thinking of trying Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain gloss but I don't want to spend money on something that's not comparable because drugstore brands aren't exactly cheap either. If it's comparable in quality and wear, I'll spend it though. Any suggestions?

I have been suffering with adult acne for well over a decade. I have spent thousands of dollars on dermatologist appointments, their recommended products and prescription treatments. None of this worked for me since I have super-sensitive skin. All prescriptions caused severe irritation except topical clyndamicin, which does not seem to help much.

By doing my own research and trial-and-error experimentation, these are the products that have given me the best results--and all are available for very reasonable prices WITHOUT a subscription!

I would be willing to pay more for superior treatments, but I have yet to find any.

*This can be drying so I use 1x per day

http://www.vitacost.com/productResul...1&Ntt=acnedote
*I love this line. I use the scrub and astringent every day.

http://www.vitacost.com/dr-woods-she...+soap&ta=black
*I use this as a "first pass" cleanser to remove my make-up and follow with Acnedote or sulfur soap. I also use it when I want a more gentle cleanser since the sulfur and salacylic acid cleansers are drying.

Great spot treatment! Does not aggravate my skin like other spot treatments do.

ETA: I am not sure these are all 100% natural.

Jjarboe, have you tried the Clarisonic with the acne brush? My youngest son got the thumbs up on this from his dermatologist (he has very tricky skin: acne, eczema, KP issues, with a fair Irish complexion that gets pink/red with everything).

He only uses it once or twice a week with a gentle cleanser, but it definitely helps keep pores clear without the abrasion or harsh chemicals that cause him to get red and inflamed. Interestingly, the acne brush is very soft, with the rationale that rigorous brushes cause the skin to produce more oil.

The plus of this is that it helped me justify the Clarisonic purchase- I use it as well (different brush of course).

According to Paula Begoun these oils (at least Rosemary and Tea Tree oil) may be beneficial for acne but they have volatile/aromatic components that cause irritation. Tea tree oil has some research proving that it is effective for acne but benzoyl peroxide was more effective in these studies. The concentration of the Tea Tree Oil probably needs to be higher than is present in most products which of course increases the risk of irritation. So using the oil itself would cause the most irritation. I found this information in her recent book "the best skin of your life" but it might also be on her website.

Not sure if this is mentioned on here....but Julep nail polish is da bomb!!! lasts forever and the various finishes they have are awesome ....surely to keep you free from boredom. My latest obsession are the iridescent glitters and plain iridescents......the other finishes I love that they do are Jelly and soft focus (semi matte) and they are always coming up with new ones. I'm not big on the matte line.....but their latest one's have been metallic matte's which aren't bad...I just add a high shine top coat.....speaking of which .....their.....quick dry top coat acts like a gel, has a super duper high shine....isn't a gel ....dries in a hot 30 seconds and it keeps your nails chip free and shining like crazy for a long time!!

They also have an awesome facial oil called what your skin needs that has a blend of argan oils and other nutritious oils and is not greasy that sinks right in to your skin that I'm hooked on, a cleansing oil for your face and body....that are both awesome a facial cream that can also be used on the neck ....and wherever.......called No Limits that is awesome....a Night Time Mask called Night Shift .....and most of their products have their Fruit Cell Complex -- which is also in their makeup (chock full of antioxidants....you can read about it on their site)..............and NO I don't work for them....I'm just an AVID customer!! Have been purchasing their products for 2+ years.....Lastly, they sell the Konjac Cleansing sponge which has become popular for exfoliating.. Lastly -- they have the most exquisite makeup.....some of the products are so easy to use. I love the blush that swipes on and looks like a giant crayon....so easy to use. They have (new) eye smolder sticks to put on eye liner....shadowey....looks with the swipe of a chubby pencil! The owner/CEO ..of Course is a woman....wanting to make our lives easier and of course all of the makeup includes the fruit complex that has all of the antioxidants to help with anti-aging....she's a genius....check some of the products out here:

Ok....enough about that......I also got another face machine lately......It goes for a ridic price ....but of course I found it on Ebay for around $100.....it's by Nuskin....it's their Galvanic Facial Spa and works giving you a negative and positive galvanic facial treatment.

I use this along with my Ultrasonic, LED & Microcurrent machines and at 56 have no wrinkles.
