I wonder what the cause is - do you think it is just that over time the pressure of our upper body causes our hips to just widen over time?

I'm curious to know why this happens!

Maybe sitting too much, or much more, as we get older? This is depressing....

Our connective tissue weakens as we age. That means that all those joints in and around the hips will weaken and spread(except maybe fused joints--my anatomy and physiology is failing me).

I'm sorry this happens to some people. I'm 69 now, and it hasn't happened to me. I did S90 in 2011 when I was 64. Went from size 10 pants to size 6, and have maintained that.
