Miranda and the Case of the Vanishing Iguana

I've been dragging myself out of bed and doing my Classical Stretch workouts with some regularity recently. The other day, I just wasn't feeling it. Until...

scamper scamper scamper

Holy cow! Is that an iguana right behind Miranda? Talk about a quick way to get my attention. Any the funny part? She didn't seem to notice. We were doing kicks, and this guy sat there watching through all of them. Surely the crew noticed. Did she really not know?

Just when she was setting us up for a twisting stretch, I was wondering how she would react. Would it cause one of Miranda's trademark "Whoops"? Would she welcome it to Classical Stretch? Point out that the fascia in its back was nice and supple? Correct its form? Miranda's pointed out wildlife before--a family of furry somethings crossed a path she was on in one episode, and there have been plenty of noisy birds. She acknowledges annoying insects. But the iguana gets ignored.

As soon as we started to twist, it was gone. Vanished. My moment of exercise excitement was gone.

I'm fairly certain it was episode #1125, if you've never done this one and want to check it out.

I finished the workout, but it just wasn't the same.

I love that iguana. At one point, I was convinced he was working out with Miranda.

Thanks for the chuckle. I don't have that episode, darn it. I like the one--it's on one of the older non-series dvds, where she's doing stretching on a stair rail and a cat walks up, she briefly talks to it in kitty speak before resuming the stretching.

My sister had an iguana - Limey. She was sad to take him to Taco Bell with her.

I just did an episode on PBS that had a family of some bunny looking rodents with Miranda. She thought they were rabbits "but they didn't hop". I looked they didn't have bunny ears either!! LOL!!

Miranda kept doing her thing as they walked behind her.

That's one of my favorite eps! That iguana makes me laugh each time, even though I know he's coming! I often wondered if anyone off camera saw him or even let Miranda know he was back there.

I have numerous sets of the series, mostly virgins, but darn I don’t have season 11. I would have gotten that one out right now to see the iguana. So fun!
