I always refer to Miranda as a "verbal klutz", maybe that's why I find her so endearing, because I'm a verbal klutz, too. I have all of her w/o's including the 2007 series. The last thing I need is more -- but I HAVE to have the 2009series after reading this thread!

& thank you, too. make sure you post soon as you get back!
great yakking with you as always. my fellow CS devotee.

& no, I'm not really disciplined. not always, anyhow. LOL...just this time. I was bound & determined to get to my goal & stick with it.
this time, I just was so close, I couldn't screw it up?
I'm nearing 50 & just wanted to prove to myself I can do it.
to be honest, Miranda made it alot easier than I've been making it for myself for years.

now you young'ins who look at my body shots, keep in mind my age! LOL

Would any of you CS girls be interested in a check-in?? Maybe we should start one. It could be for anyone doing CS regularly, whether or not they were doing other stuff as well. I'm a really big "catalouger" for lack of a better word...there are so many different workouts on the tv dvds that I like to make notes about what each one includes, what it focuses on, etc... It would be cool to be able to share that info, as well as our RESULTS [/QUOTE]

A check in as listed above would be great!
You have my vote! (and I'll join)

Joan

Ps Joan (Hourglass) --hope you join us!
and all thread posters--see you there!

Hourglass Joan, you got me thinking, I sounded like I hated Miranda! LOL
just wanted to clarify, that's not the case at all.
I just don't think she comes off as polished as some other instuctors.
& I do appreciate that. Miranda is very geniune.
she's the best, really, once you are able to understand where she's coming from. & her knowledge of her training is priceless.
very much like Leslie Sansone.
I don't want to come off as sounding rude or insulting.
it's just the first few times of Miranda's workouts, were not what I was expecting.
hope I made better sense?
I just wanted to let first timers to be prepared for mis-cues & not perfect counting. which really doesn't matter in my case. but, for some this can be an issue.

Her delivery rubbed me wrong -- as I recall, she spoke through a tight jaw, which made me tense -- so I was disappointed to hear she does the voiceovers on the workout with her daughter. But I lurve the French-language instructor on the Extento DVDs. Wish they made more of them.

she only does the voice over on one of Sahra's dvds. Sahra instructs on one & is really good. I really like her style. she's softer spoken.

I am on a CS kick right now so I would be interested in a CS check-in for sure! I agree that Miranda does go on and on sometimes, but I like her!

Is it possible to view clips of Sahra's dvd's anywhere? I have the 2007 series and the Back Pain Relief/Stress Relief dvd but I've never really gotten into them and I think it's because I don't quite click with Miranda. I'd love to see if I click with Sahra but I haven't had any luck finding clips anywhere....

Here's a clip of Sahra's Flexibility Workout For Athletes --- it's not that great (no sound, short) but it was all I could find before I ordered:

I know what you mean. The first CS one I did was her second full body workout. It was just so different from normal "athletic"-type stretching that I'd done before, but when the workout was finished, I really felt good. I always get a kick out of her comparing some of her stretches to being on the rack Not a great selling point!
