Question about Physique 57

I would like to start using some of my Physique 57 DVD's that I have had since last year, but have been too lazy to start. I am pretty out of shape, though. Which of their workouts do you think are the most "beginner friendly" workouts? TIA

I'm not sure which ones you have, but I'd say Classic v.1 is probably the best for starting off. The boosters and the express workouts tend to be pretty tough, and move quickly. They pack a lot into 30 mins. Classic v. 2 is good, but I'd say it's generally harder than Classic v.1, though v.1 has a tougher upper body segment.

The newer cardio DVDs also tend to move pretty quickly. They all have modifiers, though, so that helps!

Thank you very much. I have several of them. I will pull out Classic then. I have both versions. I really want to get my feet wet first and I don't want to have a myocardial infarction doing it.

On their streaming they have a beginner workout. It might be worth it to rent it for two days to get yourself re-acclimated?

I noticed Tanya Becker has a book with a DVD. How would you rate the DVD that comes with the book?

I believe it's a compilation of the 1st set they released.

What is the difference between Physique 57 Classic 57 Minute Full Body Workout 2nd Edition and first edition?

It's a compilation of the 2nd set. Upper body is from Classic V2, lower body is from Thigh & Seat Booster and the abs are from Advanced Express. It's a nice workout!

Vol. 2 is supposed to be harder, and in some respects, it is. I think the lower body sequences in Classic are tougher than Classic v. 1, but upper body is harder (IMO) in 1 vs. 2. It's definitely longer in 1, so maybe that's it.

Thigh and Seat is whoa... hard! And Advanced Express is probably a bit tougher that Express from the first set.

However, how hard or not hard one finds any workout, IMO, is very individual. All the P57 DVDs have modifiers, showing alternatives in both directions.
