Callanetics Studio Online

I was searching for Callanetics information and found this YouTube video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiuyphw1_Eg

It looks pretty fresh and modern, so I went to their website looking for more information. It looks like they will soon be offering streaming Callanetics videos. The settings (indoor and outdoor) look beautiful in this promo video:

I've 'Liked' their Facebook page and signed up as a member on their site so that I can keep tabs on their progress / offerings. I like the looks of this!

That is some lovely photography! Reminds me of Namaste Yoga a bit.

Me too! I thought of Namaste Yoga when I was watching the promo video last night, too.

I wrote to them on Facebook last night asking about the upcoming content on the website. Here is their reply. I think I will give their program a try when it becomes available!

HI Jennifer, great to hear from you and that you found us We were hoping to have everything set up this week but we've encountered a website issue so having that fixed at the moment. We should be all good and ready next week - scared to set a day now . You will, however, continue to receive the videos each day and on 5th day will have a 40 min workout. So, you will have new movements and exercises to work with and trial.

To sign up as a member it will be $19.97 per month. We will be regularly adding new workout routines, restorative exercises, Feldenkrais movements etc.

Hope you enjoy the workout and it would be great to get some feedback. You may have noticed that we will have our own forum 'The Cafe' so that we can help with queries and also get feedback on what our online students would like to see more of -or less

Happy Pulsing
Sandra xx

Thanks for sharing this- what a lovely new website they have! They renamed and revamped it. I love the History of Callan page and even some Lotte Berk was on there too! I signed up for their emails. Are they based in South Africa ?

Wow! This looks good. I traded away my original Callanatics workouts b/c the 'tucking' really bothered my back. I wonder if they still focus heavily on the tucking?

I love the website and clips though and am looking forward to hearing more!

I currently take Callanetics classes and they have gotten away from the big tuck a long time ago. The current form is neutral spine and squeezing the sit bones together (a la Pilates) to tighten the pelvic floor before each exercise. The new DVD, Callanetics Evolution uses the technique and has a section where the go over the new technique. Sandra's Foundation videos on her website probably has it too...has anyone checked it out?

Lovely site, though I'll bet the classes will be taped indoors rather than on the beach. But maybe I'm wrong about that - hope so!
I also wish it weren't $20 per month. $10 would tempt me better.

ETA - Wow, interesting fact: Adelaide is Sandra's son's partner.

When I signed up at their site, I started receiving daily emails with Callanetics tips. I liked these that I received today. I think they must have their videos marked as private because I don't see these on their YouTube channel...only when they send me a unique link to the video.
