Jack LaLanne's Dog & Oxygen yoga
The yoga show is called "Inhale." The instructor is very blase and has a very irritating voice IMO.
Jack LaLanne's dog was named "Walter," for "We All Love To Exercise Together." I named my first cat "Walter." In the 1980's I was a Public Affairs Officer for the Coast Guard and we guarded Jack as he swam across Long Beach Harbor towing several rowboats held by a bit between his teeth! Yikes, ALWAYS have a Plan B.

Body Electric
Maybe I didn't catch it, but let's add Body Electric with Margaret Richards (PBS).
I really miss all the fitness shows that were my early morning mainstay. The only show I can get in my local area is the yoga class on Oxygen, and yoga is just not my cup of tea. So now, instead of setting the VCR to tape my favorite TV fitness shows, I just pop in a tape that I got from Collage or VF Exchange. So all is not lost. |

it's Josse LaVigeur & Ffitness Kick
...she has French workouts. she also used to be on the Carribbean Workout with David Snively. That show just started a new season on TSN and has new female hosts.
The kickboxing show on TSN is Fitness Kick. Also, ASN has a cheesy show with Sharon Mann called Body Tech |

Thanks Pamela and Jenn
Yep - the blonde I was trying to remember was Cynthia Kereluk and Joannie's show was Morning Stretch. I think I had a record album with Morning Stretch on it.
Hey - how about Chicken Fat? Push-ups every morning (10 times). Push-ups starting low. Give that chicken fat back to the chicken and don't be chicken again -- nooooo, don't be chicken again! We did that in grade school and I have copy of that record. Woo hoo. |

The Food Network had a show early on (before they were getting enough commercials and played quick recpies intead) called Seven-Day workout or something like that . Bart Conners and Nadia Comaneci were the instructors -- Mon - Sat she would do an aerobic segment, he would do a strength segment, she would do cool down and together the would do a recipe, Sundays was all partner stretching/yoga. There were only 7 episodes taped and the Food Network played them on the appropriate days for quite a while.

I can't be the oldest one here! (Double nickel is all...) I remember Richard Hittelman's long-running yoga show. My mother used to watch it when I was a schoolgirl, and it was still on when I was getting back in shape after my last baby, who's now 20.

Mia Finnegan
had some show where she did a recipe, then exercised while it cooked. This was on a special Fit network or something. And this was just about 1-2 years ago.
My mind is going but my body steps and lifts on . . . ALWAYS have a plan B.
