Demeris--my hip joints protest now (initially) even when I do T-Tapp stance (to say nothing of hoe downs). I feel like the Tin Woodsman in the Wizard of Oz!
Is it the turnout, itself, or is it the muscle activation?

If it's just the muscle activation, you could do the floor dvd and even critter crunch. If it's the turnout, then I would not recommend these.

Have you taken a look at the clip up at totalfitness of tango flex? I took a look yesterday and saw specific work for the hips.

It's the turnout itself. I think I need to vary my workouts more, or at least do kundalini yoga--my dominant workout--differently. KY often involves prolonged sitting. I now do the seated stuff standing (and even moving) whenever possible. Thanks for the info about the Tangoflex clip--I'll check it out!
