These are not polished that is for sure and I can see why people would not like these workouts. I am going to make them work for me and think they will give me the results I am looking for. However, I can see how one get frustrated with their warp speed, the modifier forgetting to modify, the lack of music and uneven reps. I would probably get fantastic results with Tonique's BTM, but it fills me with such dread due to all the repetition. These workouts don't rep you to death and that is why I think I will continue to reach for them and the $50 I paid for them can't be beat! Although I am not sure I will do the cardio portion of Bikini Bootcamp again!

I'm interested in trying Bikini Bootcamp, I know everyone is saying it is the easiest in the set, so I want to see if there is a way I can modify it to be more intense without feeling frantic. We'll see. I am curious. I modify a lot of my kickboxing workouts to make them faster (it is all turbo fire's fault, it really is), so it will be interesting to see if I actually have to slow this one down (first time for everything) and maybe add some extra plyo to get up the intensity?

I actually kinda like the pace, because there is not one minute of downtime in any of these workouts. One of my pet peeves is instructors walking around chatting, catching their breath, switching out weights, etc. It just feels like a really great use of my workout time (but YMMV, of course).

I do prefer slower paced kickboxing workouts, so I can really focus on my punches and kicks. Turbo Fire to me is fun and has great music, but it is not true kickboxing nor does it try to be. I really like it, when I am in the mood for it. I don't know what the cardio is in Bikini Bootcamp. I got a decent workout, but the kick portion was so wild, that I felt like never did kickboxing before if that makes sense. I couldn't follow their pace with the kicks. I was fine with the punches. Please report back with your thoughts!

[QUOTE=A-Bot;2231286]I understand. I come from a martial arts background, but TF just changed everything for me as far as getting in a workout (not training). I now add a lot of bouncing around into my other KB workouts to make my heart rate go up more. I also insert extra plyo into turbo fire. So, I am curious to see if there is anything I can do with this one. I'll report back. QUOTE]
Absolutely! I am also curious to see what you can do with it. I will have to try Bikini Bootcamp again, even though I think I'd rather do a Turbo Fire!

The workouts definitely have issue, plus it's hard to categorize these workouts, thus making them hard to fit in a certain category. It'd be great if someone who has been doing these for along time give their opinions on which ones fit the criteria for cardio, toning, etc.
If anyone wants a slower pace workout that's a bit similar, I highly recommend Terri Walsh's workouts! I'm thoroughly impressed with her workouts. They are no walk in the park. They definitely are on the tough side. Plus, they work both your upper and lower body really well.
