Facial cream/lotion during Menopause

Yes, that dreaded word is being talked about again. My issue is that the minute I put my facial cream on, I break into a sweat. (hot flash) Is there an effective facial lotion that might be a bit lighter than what I'm using that might not trigger the sweat effect?

I use Olay Regenerist Luminous. Just about to finish the bottle and would love to try something different.

TIA ~

Merle Norman, the plain lightweight moisturizer that doesn't have any sunscreen in it. You will have to contact a Merle Norman studio (do internet search on their website), and ask them to ship it to you.

I've been using the CeraVe PM moisturizer. It's very lightweight. During the day I top it with a sunscreen. Good luck!

I looked at my bottle, and it just says "Moisture Lotion." It's a 4 oz bottle.

I use a Beautycounter lotion for daytime use (supporting my niece in her business) and Derma E or Rosehip oil at night. Once I started using these lotions, I can't stand many of the drugstore brands. I tried using up a bottle of Olay, and something in it left a film on my face.

Even so, no lotion has ever caused me to start sweating (I've been in menopause since my hysterectomy 2 years ago). Not sure why you are having that reaction. Hope you can find something that will help.

I use Rosehip oil or coconut oil. It has been 7 1/2 months since my last cycle. I tend to have hot flashes at night or from hot drinks. I drink iced coffee now.

Tina do you think you might be allergic to something in it? I would find it odd to sweat from a facial cream.

Maybe it is the niacinamide in the Olay?

Actually, I found this on WebMD

Niacin and niacinamide are LIKELY SAFE for most people when taken by mouth. A common minor side effect of niacin is a flushing reaction.

Update: I decided on one of the many Neutrogena face cream and eye creams. I have not had any kind of sweating after applying it. I really do think it was the niacinamide.
