Recovery month - everything counts!

1 - 8000 steps. Went for brunch and ran errands with my darling. Re-entering the world!
2 - 4800 steps. Felt really tired today, also walking outside in 36C might not have been the best idea. I have to remember that recovery is not always linear.
3 - Rest. Running a slight fever all day, enough to make me sleep the afternoon away.
4 - 3750 steps. Had a followup appointment and felt ok travelling there and negotiating the hospital complex. Otherwise, rested.
5 - 3800 steps. But - went to the office. Getting my brain back engaged is part of the process. By 5pm I was tired, so headed home and watched Buffy the Vampire slayer for several hours. So comforting.
6 - 5750 steps. Even more important - was able to work a full day, and even met a friend for dinner. Was very tired after, went home and straight to bed. But coming back to life!
7 - 5850 steps. Another full day, ending with a business dinner with a prospective partner.
8 - 11,600 steps. Went for a brunch and a walk with my DH. Came back and took a nap, but felt good enough to walk some more and go out to dinner.
9 - 8,800 steps. Perhaps a bit too much in the 35C heat, required napping and an early bed.
10 - Rest. Emotionally tired. Went to work for a half day. It is what it is.
11 - 2800 steps. Came home from work early to take a nap.
12 - Rest. Had a cold and my throat hurt. Stayed home, napped, drank smoothies.
13 - 5800 steps. Had my post-op checkup, and the surgeon said brisk walks are ok - so I'm taking that as permission to start easing into walking workouts.
14 - 5900 steps.
15 - 4000 steps. Busy weekend, no time for long walks.
16 - 3500 steps.
17 - 6100 steps. Went to a nearby pool, checked out their 1 month summer membership special. Will probably take it just to have some variety in what I can do.
18 - 5700 steps.
19 - 5200 steps. I keep telling myself I'm going to start some workouts but I was *wiped* from the mental effort of focusing at work.
20 - 5100 steps, Walk Away the Pounds 2 miles (finished 1.5 miles & c/d). Finally had the energy to put on shorts and try Leslie. While this isn't a style I'm going to do forever, it felt sooooo good to put on workout clothes and just move. I listened to my body and when it said enough, I stopped. The recovery has begun!
21 - 9100 steps, Rockin' Body Mark, Move & Groove. The steps are basic enough for even me to follow, but Shaun T makes it so much fun.
22 - 15,100 steps.
23 - 6,100 steps, Leslie Walk at Home 2 miles.
24 - 9,100 steps. Ironically, I didn't have time to do a Leslie workout because I realized I'd left my Airpods in the restaurant where we'd had dinner. So I had to walk back before they closed and then come home again - a 20 minute round trip at a brisk pace. I was tempted to raise my arms overhead as I walked down the street but I held back.
25 - 7,400 steps. Theoretically I shouldn't have done it, but I was late for a meeting and accidentally got off at the wrong metro stop - so I grabbed a shared bike and peddled for 8 minutes. The person I was meeting was even later, so I didn't get home until after 10:30pm.
26 - 8,900 steps.
27 - 9,300 steps. Work is taking all my energy, no time for Leslie.
28 - 7,400 steps.
29 - 11,200 steps, went to gym and did 30 mins on elliptical. Kept my pace moderate to maintain my HR below 120, and I mostly enjoyed that I could do something. Afterwards I had intense tingling sensations in my abdomen which I guess is the deeper muscles at incision. I think it was ok, but will definitely do something else tomorrow just to not overload that part.
30 - 10,400 steps, Margaret Richards Beauty to the Bone vol 1 (first 15 mins). Trying Margaret Richards with even lighter weights - 1kg. Lying down for pec flies and skull crushers was fine, but standing bicep curls did engage my abs muscles for core stabilization, even with such light weights. Decided to leave it at that and see how it feels tomorrow.
31 - 3,400 steps, Gilad's Step w/u &, 2 sections & c/d (30 mins). No discomfort from the weekend, so today I did Gilad on the floor and tried to be moderate with the arm movements. It felt good to move.

2. Full body strength workout - My son wanted to exercise with me today but he doesn't like my dvds. Anyway, we had fun picking our favorite exercises and got in a recent workout. Also CS 1102

6 - 9. We were camping so plenty of walking and bike riding. On Friday, we went to a fun zip line and obstacle course place. You climb up to a stand in a tree and go from tree to tree on a zip line or crossing some balance obstacles. In between, you also had to climb up ladders or other handles to get to higher platforms on the trees. It was a really fun family activity and a definite total body workout. It took 3 hours for our group to complete the 3 courses. I was exhausted by the end and realized that I need to concentrate on upper body strength more.

14. Nothing - just lazy
15. Cathe Athletic Training - 1st time doing this one and it totally wiped me out. I loved using the step so much though.

VF LOG IN PROBLEM

Just now when I came here to check in as usual, my log in credentials had been blanked out. When I keyed them in, I got the message that either my User Name or Password was invalid. I tried a couple more times with the same result. Then I clicked on the 'forgot password' link (I was sent a new password) & got in that way.

Anyone else having or had that issue?

I'll go reset my password as this one is only good for 24 hours, according to the email.

(I didn't check GD before writing this message. Apologies if it's been discussed already.)

AnMrsDe--that Bonus Step on Kelly's Strength & Stamina is one of my favorites! It's a great 20 min add-on. Good on you for doing it twice

It took me more than a few tries to get the moves down. At one point, Kelly sits on the step & says something like, "I hope you're not sitting on the sofa like this saying, 'What is she doing...?'" My first time through, I said to the TV, "Well yeah I am, because you're not cuing!!" I still love her~
