I learned about VF in the late 90's through the Cathe forum, which I found via Collage, which I found via Shape magazine - Dara Torres was on the cover .

Oh my...Aaron Langford! His kickboxing workout had great reviews! I bought it and was underwhelmed. And the background exercisers had ridiculously big boxing shorts! Exercise videos have come a LONG way since then!

I had bought a couple of video workouts in stores, Richard Simmons and a woman I don't remember the name of. I had no idea a whole world existed around videos until one day when I saw a Firm infomercial. I had never heard of them, so I jumped online to investigate them and found VF. The rest is history.

I remember getting our first home pc. I googled home exercise tapes or something, since I was so into it. When I found VF I WAS BLOWN AWAY! The fact that there were all these people that had this same passion was unbelievable to me. I was hooked. Though I did lurk for a few years.

I was on the original Firm Sparklist, and that's how I found VF. I believe it was 1997.

I was also introduced to Cathe through the Firm Sparklist.

I was looking for video reviews and stumbled on it. I lurked for a bit before I joined (by nature I'm more of a reader than a talker anyway). It completely opened up my workout world, and still does to this day.

I succumbed to the original Winsor Pilates infomercial and while searching for more background on Winsor Pilates, I stumbled across VF.

Many, many Winsor videos later ...

I was one of several people that Wendy contacted from a newsgroup in January 1996 asking to write reviews for her new exercise video site. It was the first time I ever used this thing caled World Wide Web - I had to use this text-only program called Lynx or something, but I still thought it was really cool! And I remember when the first forum was more like a comment section, and going through various forum formats including a "secret" one. VF is now 24, wow!
