In fact I was going to post a new thread on VF to ask if anyone else does this.
Apparently there Rucking clubs and events-races, etc. wearing the rucksack.

I learned about it in June just before I had foot surgery so I obviously had to put it on the back burner. I am now considering taking it up. I tried to fit my backpack with a 10 pound plate but it didn't sit correctly (high up on the back) They sell these expensive rucksacks with pockets to place rectangular plates that sit high and close to the body. Very expensive but they are having a sale on the rucksacks this weekend. I am considering asking DH to get me one for the holidays because I honestly can't think of anything else. A 10 pound plate costs $55 though!
I haven’t heard of rucking. Maybe a weighted vest would work.

I’m reviving this thread because I finally have been getting out of my comfort zone and starting new activities!

After talking about getting back to tennis, I did it! I took a class and it was a good experience. It made me remember why I liked playing tennis. I was rusty, but muscle memory kicked in. I decided to take private lessons to get my form back. I also realized I need to do more HIIT, because tennis is short bursts of aerobic and anaerobic moves.

I also took a performance class, and attended a lecture.

The hardest part is pushing yourself to get out of your comfort zone and fight self-doubt. After doing it, you feel great!

My husband got me a rower for Christmas and rowing is a new type of exercise for me. Still in the learning phase, doing short workouts as I learn the technique.

I joined a Tai Chi class with our City Parks and Rec. I really enjoy it. It's harder than it looks! I'm so relaxed afterwards.

Rowing is excellent! I bought a new rower a couple of years ago, and love the low impact, total body workout. It’s great for posture, too.

We got a Segway Ninebot S last week that we've been riding around the yard. It's a lot of fun and much easier than I had even hoped. We're still slower than our 7-month-old puppy, but at least he's enjoying running circles around us!

These little things are supposed to be allowed access anywhere a wheelchair is, but I haven't tested that. It would be nice to start seeing them around events where there is a lot of walking involved.
