Heat wave again, ew. Good day for a swim. But no. I learned the hard way that the pool is on a holiday schedule (which they do when school is closed, as it is this week) of lap swim 11 to 12:30; not 11:15 to 2:00 which I was expecting when I got there in my swimsuit and coverup at 11:28. Boo hoo. All dressed up and no place to go.
After I finished sulking, I did want to do something easy, b/c of the heat. Found it!
Check-in: Jaime Brenkus' Little Black Dress workout DVD for women over 50. This fellow is known for his 8 minute w/o's. I'm not sure when or why I bought this DVD from amazon, but I'm keeping it for lazy or feeble days. It has a daily 8-min w/o for 2 weeks (except for 3 rest days). It's very well chaptered: after any segment, it goes to the menu. The warm up, warm down (as he calls the cool down), and stretch are the same for every day. The stretch is 8 min. The warms are 1 min each, so today was 20 min. It uses light weights.
Off to rehearsal in San Jose, where it's even hotter.
