Barre Amped Thoughts

I just did this for the first time. I did barre based workouts years ago when it first hit the scene, but it was short lived. I gotta say, I loved this. I only did the warm-up, light weights and thigh segments. Clocked in at 26 mins. I'm trying to be consistent with 30 mins for now and build from there.

I would recommend this to anyone trying barre out for the first time or in a long time. I was able to complete the segments but with effort. I even had to drop my 1 lb weights at one point toward the end of the upper body. I didn't have to modify in some special way to make it through.

I feel well worked and loved working out without shoes. I can't wait to try the rest of this dvd. I have one other of Suzanne's and I'm excited to try it as well.

Hope this helps anyone considering her routines.

That is the other one I have. Would love to acquire her latest one as well.

I LOVE Suzanne! However, as much as I do like her DVDs (I actually have the downloads, which are sep files for each section ) I still find that I do her streaming workouts way more often. She's great!

I'm not able to do streaming, so I'm happy with the dvds. I really enjoy her personality.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Tina. I wish I had! I didn't connect to the BarreAmped series. Cardio was the best, IMO, but I still traded it. However, I'm crazy about Suzanne's TT&T workout and like Suzanne, so I'll keep trying her workouts.

Judging from the comments, I can't understand why Suzanne Bowen (and Barre3, for that matter) release DVD workouts which are so vastly inferior to their streaming workouts. Are they watering things down in their DVDs? Surely the methods can't be remarkably different.

I've been scratching my head over that as well. Tracey Mallett's newest streaming seems to be getting great reviews. Wish it was on DVD. I guess I can't miss what I've never have.
