First Class shipping for one DVD is a little under $2. Then there's the cost of the envelope and tape, the time you spend packaging it up, driving to the P.O. when you could be doing something else, etc. That's the 'handling' in addition to the shipping. I usually post one price that includes everything and I only accept PayPal and only ship to the continental US. That assures that the buyer follows through immediately, rather than waiting around for a check to arrive when the buyer could have changed her/his mind in the meantime.
You can also use delivery confirmation and charge for it. I don't remember what that costs. By the time I list my DVDs, I'm ready to just get rid of them and usually do so at a loss. Better to get something than have them gathering dust. |
