I feel like a won an Oscar (Long)
Because yesterday I took the last Insanity Fit Test thereby completing my first ever Insanity rotation and during said Fit Test, I beat my fitness idol Tonya "the machine" on all but two exercises.
A little background on why this is such a big deal to me as many of you have finished Insanity rotations like it ain't no thang.
I purchased Insanity from QVC several years ago. My thoughts were it would be challenging but doable. I enjoy working hard and at that point I was probably 50lbs heavier than I am now, but I was doing Turbo Fire without issue and it seemed like the next logical step. I received it in the mail excitedly unwrapped it and reviewed. I immediately did the fit test. After I completed the coronary that it gave me and to keep with my movie theme, to quote the farmer in Babe, I said to myself "That'll do pig (or in my case girl)" and put it on a shelf. I clearly wasn't ready. 60ish days ago, I decided to try again, so before they cue the music, I have some people to thank.
I'd like to thank Denise Austin and Badrino for giving me my start in fitness, if it weren't for you I don't know if I would have stuck with it.
I'd like to thank Leslie Sansone for the endless knee ups that helped prepare my hip flexors for Cardio Core and Balance.
I'd like to thank Tom Holland and the Supreme 90 Crew for the pushup work, jump lunges, and tabata training which helped prepare me for Max Intervals.
I'd like to thank Chalene Johnson for Fire Drills, HiiTs, etc.
And to all my other "personal trainers" along the way who contributed to my fitness in ways big and small. Thank you!
