Suggestions for using a weighted bar - looking for YouTube workouts!

I just got a 10 lb weighted bar--yay, new gadget! Now, what to do with it?

I am NOT looking to buy more DVDs at present but would love suggestions for YouTube workouts to try. As reference, my favorite instructor is Kelly Coffey-Meyer. I have a lot (but not all) of her DVDs if you want to suggest how I can incorporate the bar with what I have already.

Thanks and happy Monday.

I love my weighted bar too, so will be interested to see what other recommendations come up in this thread.

I know you wanted you tube specific workouts, but I did want to mention Kimberly Spreen - her weighted combat bar segments from her workouts are *awesome*. Her weighted bar segments (combat intervals) from Absolute Kickboxing actually is on you tube, so you could check it out.

This is pretty short - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0RMPifx_Qs - but it gave me good ideas for moves to incorporate into other workouts. I like the glute bridge and oblique moves on this one.

Stephanie, I like short routines.

Sherry, thanks for all of those links. I think I had a Spreen DVD ages ago. I like the idea of trying the bar with kickboxing...although I probably won't do the 90-minute one, haha.

I hit the motherlode recently - bought 6 Body Bars from a craigslist seller for $100, plus the stand!

I have kept all of my DVDs and some VHS of Body Bar workouts. i'm glad you started this thread so that I could checkout some youtube videos.

Wow Jeanine that is awesome! Let me know about your favorites.

I tried one of the Kim Spreen workouts today, the combat one. I liked it, although I found some of the moves awkward with the bar--I think that Kim (and the other two!) is taller than me! It was fun though, so I'll continue to experiment.

Keep the ideas coming!

you mentioned Kim Spreen - I have her BootCamp workout. Kim has always struck me as a competent instructor, and she does well in this video. she uses a lighter weighted bar with some sword-like moves. it's a good, fun workout.

from Body Bar, one of my faves is Sherry Catlin - Strong Step. she has a Body Bar Basics video, which despite having the word "Basic" in the title, still gives you a good workout.

I also like BodyBar Equanimity with Lashaun Dale, and Ripple with Clare Dunphy.

Karen Voight uses a weighted bar in her Strong & Smooth moves, particularly, the second half of the workout.
