~~~ DECEMBER ~~~ Movement is a Gift! 1 - GYM for cardio only - 15 recumbent bike and 15 elliptical; 4,800 steps. 2 - LWR Winter Wonderland workout (Advent Day 1); Sculpture back and shoulders; 30 hip circle butt lifts, 45 hip circle clamshells and leg lifts each side; 50 mini-ball crunches; 7,369 steps. 3 - Nothing formal; 5,048 steps. 4 - 1.16 mile hike; LWR Full Body Workout 10 Minutes (Advent Day 3); 30 hip circle butt bridges; 30 hip circle clamshells; mat PT and psoas release; 8,443 steps. 5 - Caught up on a declutter/deep clean project; stretch and inversion; 5,132 steps. 6 - GYM for 15 recumbent, and a breeze through for PT and a little machine work (leg press, rows, chest press); 7,132 steps. 7 - Tight Hips & Hamstrings yin by Felicia Tomasko; 5,020 steps. 8 - LWR Full Body Workout (Advent Day 2); my own stretch and psoas release; 8,822 steps. 9 - Nothing formal but managed 6,501 steps. 10 - LWR Standing Abs & Core Workout (Advent Day 5); Kit Rich, Loosen and Activate Your Hips (Glo); 5,845 steps. 11 - We had a nor-easter washout so I spent the day power cleaning with stretch and inversion table breaks; LWR 7 Minute Walking Workout & 4 Minute Back (Advent 6); 8,206 steps. 12 - GYM for 15 minutes recumbent, 50 step-ups; cable machine PT; machine weights for back, chest and shoulders and leg presses; Marc Holzman, "Supta Party (Glo); 7,051 steps. 13 - Beach walk (1.41, 41 mins.); GYM for mix up of lower body machines and dumbbell arms workout; 9,118 steps. 14 - LWR 30 Minute Walking at Home (Advent Day 4); floor PT; 50 mini ball crunches; psoas and heat openers; 8,300 steps. 15 - LWR Advent Calendar workouts - 7 Minute Leg Workout at Home and Boost Your Metabolism & Energy Levels (7 and 8); Felicia Tomasko "Ayurvedic Detox: Pigeon Hip Series" (Glo); 8,700 steps. 16 - LWR 7 Minute HIIT Workout (Advent Day 10); Jane Fonda Easy Going Workout minus cardio and post-cardio standing stretch; 8,666 steps. 17 - I'm back to work. I estimate just shy of nine inches based on what was on top of our cars. The main roads are cleared of snow but the side roads are treacherous with black ice. Yesterday featured: 18 ~ Inversion and back warmups; Shovel Max; Beth a/k/a Toaster's Yoga Class for Lazy Days It is a nice gentle class, no vinyasa, with nice shoulder releases. Also 6,202 steps. 18 - Jo Tastula "Bring the Nervous System Into a Parasympathetic State" restorative yoga; 6,303 steps. 19 - Nothing formal; 7,807 steps. 20 - Nothing formal but attended a Zoom Winter Solstice workshop and meditation through my yoga studio; 5,330 steps. 21 - Sadhana Day 1 - lunch meditation walk (1.09, 25 minutes); 7,987 steps. 22 - Sadhana Day 2 - LWR 7 Minute Glutes Workout (Advent Day 12); upper body work from Margaret Richard Raising the Bar; Rodney Yee Yoga for Energy & Stress Relief "Soothe & Stretch;" 5,676 steps. 23 - Sadhana Day 3 - 30 minutes of Lee Holden Qigong for Depression & Energy Balance (YMAA); back stretches; 6,105 steps. 24 - Sadhana Day 4 - Brief beach walk; LWR 20 Minute HIIT (actually 30 minutes - Advent Day 11); Tiffany Cruickshank Hang Out in Your Hips yin practice; smudged and did an awareness meditation while in restorative fish pose; 8,611 steps. 25 - Sadhana Day 5 - Jo Tastula, "Earthing Meditation" (Glo); 6,153 steps. 26 - Sadhana Day 6 - My own yin/restorative practice using bolster and blocks to run up and down stretching the full spine and shoulders; two mile hike; Felicia Tomasko, Support Restful Sleep (Glo); 8,239 steps. 27 - Sadhana Day 7 - Pre-gym PT including my own yoga series with block and bolster for the spine; 15 minutes recumbent and a good weights routine for lower body, back and chest; 6,176 steps. 28 - Sadhana Day 8 - LWR Low Impact Workout (Advent Day 15, skipping around); "All Wide Legs and No Hands" with Dice Iiada-Kline (Glo); 6,263 steps. 29 - Sadhana Day 9 - LWR 10 Minute Thigh & Glute Workout and 7 Minute Indoor Walk & Ab Workout (Advent Days 16 and 17); Tias Little Listening Through the Stethoscope meditaton (Glo); 4,727 steps. 30 - Sadhana Day 10 - LWR HIIT workout (Advent Day 14); Margaret's Raising the Bar, lower body routine; Sarah Beth Yoga Deep Stretch for Chest & Back; 5,030 steps. 31 - Sadhana Day 11 - LWR Stretching - Yoga & Pilates Inspired (Advent Day 13); Walking At Home & Full Body Workout (Advent Day 18); Tiffany Cruikshank, "Athlete's Recovery Class;" 7,114 steps. |
