My husband and I are working our way through the series for a second time. We started season four last night. Normally I don't like to watch something that I've already seen but Breaking Bad is exceptionally good.
I'm looking forward to Better Call Saul. I'm going to try to hold off and then binge watch the entire first season. That means staying away from the spoilers which can be very challenging.
I was thinking that the spinoff had the potential of being really bad but the TV critic on NPR said it was excellent so I'm in.
I will be disappointed if it is on at the same time as Downton Abbey however.
ETA: Just re-read your OP Sherry and I see Better Call Saul is on right after DA. Good news!
I always DVR, too. This morning's paper said that Vince Gilligan likes it, but isn't sure a lot of people will. Also that we'll see two familiar faces quickly tonight - and that we won't see Jesse (who would be in middle school) or Walt in season one, but that everyone else is fair game.
The premise is that we see Saul make choices that lead him to ending up being a fixer in Breaking Bad - like Walt made choices to become Heisenberg. I think it's supposed to be 6 years before he met Walt.
I'm so out of touch with TV shows. I have never watched Breaking Bad, so can't say I am excited for Better Call Saul . The only shows I ever watch are reality shows, cooking shows, and HGTV.
