I was also very surprised they didn't use more parts from Volume 1. The only part they included from Volume 1 was the killer inner thigh work.

Like I wonder how different this is from Standing Legs or lower body split? Aren't these also parts from the classics?
Lower Body Sculpting is floor work, clocking in at ~30 min and Standing Legs is done standing, clocking in around 45 min. Lower Body Split is longer - 63 min.

while LBSc and SL are from the Volumes, LBSp was chiefly derived from later videos (cross trainers, tri-trainers, others).

most people try to compare this workout with Sculpted Buns Hips and Thighs which is roughly about the same length except it was derived from Hare and Tortoise. the VF reviews section has a great comparison of LBSc and SBHT.

in the BSS series, Lisa Kay and Libby Heath each have done separate standing and floor workouts respectively around 30 min each with non-derived, new footage.

i say we start a petition to Gaiam/Gaia to release it as a download, or better, a DVD. i have it on VHS and will probably convert it one day to dvd.

Thanks Jeannine! I forgot about the BSS series with similar titles.

And I'll sign a petition for a new DVD! But I think based on what Cynthia says it needs to go to Fitness Favorites.

Louise, I love when a thread reminds me of gems I already own

Gaiam has the licenses/rights to all of the Firm classics. if you look at the backs of a FF label, it has Gaiam America on it.

I remember ordering FIRM Parts Upper Body and Standing Legs in 1993 and I was so disappointed that they were just clips from workouts that I already had. After that, I only bought four more compilations, two from Tortoise and Hare when I thought I wasn't going to like those workouts, Bust & Butt when I thought I wasn't going to order the Cardio Series and Cardio Step Mix, when I thought I wasn't going to order Super Cardio. I did end up liking Tortoise and Hare and I did end up ordering the Cardio Series and Super Cardio. In every case, I prefer the full workouts to the compilations. When I replaced all my FIRM VHS on DVD 2015, I didn't replace the compilations. But I know lots of people love them.

Upper Body and Lower Body were the last purchases I made from Fitness Favorites, I guess shortly before it went out of print. Personally I'm glad there's little overlap from Volume 1 since that's easy to just do the floorwork section (as with Volume 2. The only classics I've used with any regularity are Vols 1 and 2).
