Depends on what you are trying to do.
There are two Freemake products I still use (gold) Freemake Video Converter and (blue) Freemake Video Downloader gold is great for converting, editing, ripping dvds and burning dvdrs but does not access as many websites as blue for downloading. Best alternative for ripping dvds has been Handbrake Windows Live Movie Maker can edit alternatives for blue is the Chrome Video Downloader Professional extension or Firefox Download Helper extension more downloading tips here http://neverendingplateau.blogspot.c...ing-video.html more tips about installing either Freemake product here http://neverendingplateau.blogspot.c...warebytes.html I am only trying to help and do not work for any company. ETA: you can use Windows Live Movie Maker to burn dvdrs too but I have not tried that in a long time because there used to be a 2 hour footage limit and it took forever. I burn around 8 hours on a dvdr and found a good alternative was burning avi files as data files which play on my new LG DP 132 dvd player from Walmart. A burn takes less than 10 minutes now and the files can easily be copied back to my lap top. Freemake took 90 minutes to burn 8 hours of footage into a dvd movie Barb S
