I finally opened my Melt dvds and did the lower back release or lengthen or whatever. I bought the same roller as Lannette. I too felt like I was doing nothing while following her directions...but wow I felt better afterwards! My back was really bothering me today, too.

I think I will try the neck sequences next.

Is the Melt Method mainly for pain or stress relief?

It was previously available so there may be hope. That's where I got mine. At the time it was $39.99 but now I wonder if they were clearing old stock because mine has an older DVD in it that the new sets don't.

You're welcome. If I come upon anything I'll post a link.

It really does feel negligible, doesn't it? Gives a whole new meaning to the saying, less is more.
I think I will try the neck sequences next.

I'm far from an expert but I experience both - though to be honest, what was hip pain for me had faded to periodic stiffness before I ever tried melt. I always use some type of stretching, realignment or meditation to transition in preparation for performing massage. Yesterday was very stressful and a short melt session left me feeling very calm and relaxed.

I m having chronic back pain, lower, upper and smack in the middle. Muscles just constantly seize. Would this program help correct this?

Not knowing the specifics of your pain, I'm not sure we can tell you with certainty that this set will help you. It's a very good set but there's just no way to give out pain relief guarantees.

Yikes, I'd go see a doc. I can't image MELT would hurt you--it's very gentle--but what you're describing sounds like it should be checked out.

I just signed up for an intro MELT class on May 2 and I think I will set my dvds aside until then. I am planning to buy the roller too as she will have some for sale. Really looking forward to it!

Yes I feel very lucky! Who would have thought I could find a MELT class way up in the boonies of Vancouver Island! And there are 2 MELT instructors about an hour's drive from me.
I shall report back for sure!
