Gadget Flashback: PlateMates

These magnets add smaller increments of weight to dumbbells. I've had them a long time, but only use them once in a while.

Who has these? Do you use them often?

I still use mine (well technically I’m not using them because I’m still recovering from rotator cuff surgery and am not lifting).

I started using them when I got Cathe’s STS when it was first released. I have two pairs. They really are great gadget.

Once I’m cleared to start lifting again, I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of them.

I have set of these. Love them! It helps in increasing weights, as it is often a large step to go up 5#, but doable to up 2.5#.

I have two sets and I use them several times weekly. They are a great way to incrementally increase the DB weight.

I've always wanted some of these! Do they still sell them? I think I saw them as a Woot daily deal at one point but they were sold out.

Anyone try adding them to kettlebells? I wasn’t confident they would stick to the bells, when bells were swung.
