Need stress relief, bad day

I had one of those days when nothing went right.

I finally have my own living space but I can't find anything since moving some of my stuff. I was running late for work this morning but made it in just in time but I didn't get a decent breakfast. Work was chaotic , but that's not unusual. When I got home I discovered my air conditioner isn't working right. Now the DVD player in the living room isn't working but it has been fine until today.

That's the brief list. It has been one thing after another. Let's hope my Insight Timer works tonight for my meditation or I just might have to have myself a good cry.

I know we all have these days, but oh man, I could just scream. Or cry. Or damage something. Do you need anything demolished? I'm your girl.

So sorry Deb, ugh that’s tough. I hope you get some stress relief from your meditation & I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Sometimes a good cry is the only thing that helps.

I hope you're feeling better by now On a practical note, did you by any chance have a storm and possible power surge while you were at work? It might explain the air conditioner and DVD player problems.

Deb, I'm sorry you had a crappy day yesterday! I sincerely hope today was brighter.

Maybe you need a combination of all 3: smash something, have a good cleansing cry, then meditation?

Please share what worked for you, as I think we're all having up & down days. I know I am.

Thanks for all the lovely hugs and thoughts. Yesterday got the tiniest bit better when I listened to some relaxing chants from Insight Timer while enjoying a relaxing bubble bath.

Today, however, went right down the tubes. Work was crazy busy (where are all these people coming from? It's like stirring a fire ant nest!!!!) and my a/c guy came, but by the time I got home it wasn't working right again.

And my DVD player is apparently fried. Sigh...

As they say, if isn't one thing it's another. I sincerely hope your week is going better than mine.

The (I hope) good news is that in the next few days I will have a couple of cats living with me. For the first time in 40 years I've been cat-less and it just doesn't suit me. I'm pretty excited.

You know, I think if men got that, the world would be a better place.

So true. Being able to admit you're only human is such a helpful thing.

I’m so sorry you’ve been having such rotten luck. I am, however, very excited that you will be adding some cats to your life. That’s so great! I lost two of my cats earlier this year so I only have one now. When the shelter at home is lifted I am going to adopt another one from the shelter and I can’t wait. Please let us know their names and how the transition goes.
