Pam, thank you for starting the March thread.

This morning:

Zumba Activate (40 minutes) I had given up on Zumba years ago. At that time I could not pick up the steps. Now I could pick up the steps, but could not keep up with their speed! I still had fun. I may go pull out an older more beginner one to try instead before doing others from the newer sets.

Yoga Upload 30 minute floor practice

I am going to try to do meditation later.

Sherry

Hello everyone!

Today’s offerings:
~ETV: Sahra’s original Full Body Toning - standing segment - I’m going back to basics and will teach this on Tues. it’s basically the old Precho 1 that I’d did for my level 1 apprentice classes.
~YouTube standing stretch

Sherry - I’ve never done any Zumba DVDs. I went to a couple of classes on our Alaskan cruise a few years ago and they were fun. They were very basic & I can see how a fast paced class could be hard to follow.

(((Hugs))) to Pat & waves to all!

Thanks, Pam!

Today is a rest day, but I wanted to do something.

I did Scott Cole's Yoga and Tai Chi, 52 minutes. It was perfect!

Hi everyone and Happy Moan Day.

Thank you for starting us Pam, and thanks so much for the hug. It's just unbelievable, we're still mourning my sister. Oh well. How is your toe?

Hi to Sherry and anyone who joins us.

Leap Day - walk with DS.

Yesterday - gym for mostly cardio.

Pat- sending you hugs. There is no time limit or time frame for grief.

I still have DOMS in my abs from doing a short ab segment in a Yoga Booty Ballet workout on Friday! I really need to do regular core work!

PS - I hate to use the "C word" but is anyone concerned about the corona virus? So far I'm just watching and taking all the precautions that we can, but it's starting to hit New England and I'm getting concerned now.

Pat - Yes, seeing an obit is very sad & sobering, I’m so sorry about your nephew.
I am concerned about the virus too. It seems the worst places to be are travel related.....airplanes & airports, anywhere where it’s crowded. DH and I were offered a month home exchange in Kailua Hawaii in June & we have decided to decline. It’s not Hawaii that concerns me, it’s the travel to get there and back. I have a history of asthma and when I get a virus, it often to ends up as bronchitis.

Now to pick out some mat work for today....

Pat: I'm so sorry for your loss. Seems like a lot of my friends are losing people. I found out my best friend in high school died, one friend's mom died, another's son died. HUGS to you!
I am taking a few precautions here in MN. No cases reported yet but I stocked up on natural supplements for boosting immunity, a few disinfecting cleaning products. But I refuse to panic. Just have to be careful.

Pam: Healing prayers for your toe!

Today I did a lovely long practice from Monica Shao on Power Yoga called Detoxify. There are those twists again. I like her style.

Hey get this! Hey, I'm going to run a race. https://runsignup.com/Race/MN/Paynes...Paynesville400

My stepdaughter talked me into it and I'm going to do the Extreme race course. Mostly all uphill. I've got until June to prepare. I haven't run any kind of race since high school when I ran Cross Country. But it's only 400 meters/quarter mile. I'll just start really working my legs, up the cardio and practice running up some local hills. I even have a steep slope in my back yard. I'm actually kind of excited. It's all for charity although I do get a t-shirt.

Happy Friday!

Hello yoginis!

Today’s offerings:
~ETV: Meg’s AM workout - had to modify a bit as the lunge sequence that requires lifting my right heel & putting weight on the ball of my right foot isn’t happening.
~ETV: Gail’s Express Waist Toning
~75 min of delicious yin poses on my own....forward bends, hip openers, side bends, twists, chest openers....

Kate - Good luck with your training, I know you’ll ace the race!

I am also being cautious, there are cases in Vancouver but none that I know of here on the island. Lots of hand washing & I have hand sanitizer. I love this natural antimicrobial hand cream made by a Vancouver company, my hands get very dry quite easily. I think they’ve sold out of it.
