September 2019 Add 'em up Goals Challenge ~All welcome!

Come join us in setting and achieving goals to promote your overall wellness! We are a friendly and welcoming group who love to chat when we have time, but please also feel free to join us if you want to just focus on your goals. No pressure here to address everyone; share as little or as much as you want!

We have been doing this challenge for several years now. While it is not strictly about fitness goals, we agree that our daily life goals work together with our fitness goals to make us happier and more balanced, so we combine them in this challenge. Feel free to join us! You can tailor it to your schedule if you need to take a week off for vacation or only count so many days. Whatever works for you!

Premise: Choose your goals for the month. Every time you complete a goal you get a point. Multiply your number of daily goals by the number of days in the month. This is your max total points. If you choose, reward yourself for reaching a certain percentage of your max possible (I use 90% for my personal goal), multiply by your max to get your total goal points. I also give myself extra credit options.

Vannie's September Goals

Goals:
1. Get up 7 hours after getting in bed on weekdays (by this I mean be physically in bed at least 7 hours)
2. Bedtime--after Rocco Baldelli is done on the Twins post-game show; on days they're off or play early, bedtime is 11:00
3. No internet after 9:30 PM
4. No junk food after 10:00 PM
5. Overhead lights off at 10:00 PM
6. Train dogs at least 5x/week--work on LOOK command every time
7. Housework for at least 20 minutes every weekday

8. Hip/ham/core PT 3x/week
9. Foam roller or ball massage after every run
10. Meet weekly minutes goal (10 pts)


Extra credit:
1. 7 hours of sleep (10 pts)
2. 20000 steps
3. New workout done
4. Running with Cyric


Max possible points: (avg pts/day)
Points goal (90%): (avg pts/day)
Reward: personal satisfaction!

Sept 1 pts (out of avg ) ~ %
Sept 2-8 pts (out of avg ) ~ %
Sept 9-15 pts (out of avg ) ~ %
Sept 16-22 pts (out of avg ) ~ %

I need to track dog training somewhere. Will use this spot for now (obedience, non-living triggers, reactivity to living things).

Mon 9/16 Cyric's 1st walk; 3 min obedience together (sure felt like longer!)
Wed 9/18 11 min obedience together
Sat 9/21? Cyric reactivity on walk
Tue 9/24 Cyric reactivity on 1st walk
Wed 9/25 oops, keep forgetting to track--8 min obedience together

Happy September! Loving the cooler weather but missing the longer daylight hours. It's dark by 8:30 now instead of 9:30.

I can't believe it is September. It is time for the annual "Let's do Body Pump." They usually make it about 2 weeks. We'll see how long it lasts this year.

I wiped out the end of August.
I didn't even wash my face last night.

Laundry DONE FOR WHAT I WANTED TODAY
Vacuum & sweep SWEPT BUT DIDN'T VACUUM

I feel like this sort of helped last month so trying it again. My original plan had different items but I didn't finish working out, eating lunch and showering till 1:30!!

This morning I bounced 10 minutes on the rebounder and did YFR pre-run practice before dog walks. Finished walks and then did wk13 day2 of the 10k trainer, although I did 3:1 intervals instead of following the app intervals then did a Dark Horse Rowing workout, 2x25 kettlebell swings and YFR post-run practice. I skipped plyos and forgot to do Cassey's glute challenge.
