Now that I know WHY I love Cardio Pump...

...maybe you guys can help me find 1-2 other workouts like this?

I've been using the heck out of KCM's Cardio Pump (workout #2). What I like:
  • The standing moves and floor moves are separated (i.e. I *hate* going from floor to standing to floor to standing)
  • The moves are very basic (nothing too torque-y or creative; also no combination/compound moves.)
  • I like the 30-min time frame (though I'm willing to go to 45 min)
  • Mod/heavy weights and not too many reps (my wrists and elbows are unhappy with high reps right now.)
  • NO REPETITION! I don't want pyramids or ladders or any of that!

That last one is a bigger thing for me than I'd though. I tried to do KCM's Your Best Body and sheesh! All the sets! I did Sculpting Rx and it was borderline intolerable (and they only repeated once). Cardio Pump does do 3 different moves for a single body part, but there's the novelty of stepping down the weights and a different move for each minute.

SO... is there anything else like this? I have her Weights DVD (there is a premix that's acceptable). Muscle Definition gets dinged because of the time, the creative moves, and the up-and-down...but I haven't done it in a while. I used to like it quite a bit. Muscle Up uses a step/bench -- which I don't have -- so there's lots of standing/floor flip-flopping.

Are these guidelines picky enough for ya? Lol.

I don't have a recommendation of a workout similar to Cardio Pump, but just wanted to chime in that I LOVE this DVD! This is probably my most used KCM DVD, but I use the cardio workout more than the pump workout. Both are excellent, but I find the cardio workout is just so much FUN and I reach for it often. Maybe Kelly could make a Cardio Pump 2?

Maybe the 2nd workout on Jessica Smith's Get Strong dvd (Strictly Strength) or possibly Cathe's PHA 2, plenty of premixes so one may fit the bill there.

Try the one set only on Sculpting RX.

That'd be great! I never use the cardio, lol -- I'm a long-time cardio avoider/hater.

Awesome, thanks! That may solve the problem with that!

I second the premixes on PHA 2, although I love PHA 2.

Now... possibly the 1-2x through premixes on PHA 1 might appeal to you... makes it much less repetitive (and dreadful... to me, anyway).

You inspired me to try Cardio Pump workout #2 and I like it for the exact reasons you listed

Let me know if you run across any more like this!
