Today was Upper Body and then I did a 1 mile walk: Steel City Strong with Nick, from Leslie's youtube channel. I hadn't done a Leslie walk in ages and it seems she has retired (?) so I guess she doesn't lead walks anymore, but whoever is running her company seems to be trying to appeal to a younger crowd because no one in this video was older than maybe 40, other than Nick. Most of them looked like they'd never done a walking workout before because they looked confused, LOL.
The trade show yesterday was a bust. No one came to my virtual table, other than someone I work with who was bored and just wanted to say hi. But it was still better than the old days where I had to fly somewhere, get dressed up, and sit in a hotel auditorium for days.
Donna, I have no trouble staying home either since I also tend to be a loner, but I do miss traveling. I think once we're into the warmer weather, I'll be getting out more. Last summer I went to the beaches here even more than usual just to get out of the house, so I expect I'll do the same this year. It's much easier to get out and do things in the spring and summer.
Sherry, Glad to hear you reconciled with your friends. That's actually refreshing because I've heard so many friendships ended due to politics, which is a shame. Virtual trade shows vary depending on what platform is used. The one yesterday was more of a chat room, but I've been to some that are very sophisticated. There is one coming up where you have your own avatar that you can move around within a virtual auditorium and when your avatar gets close to someone else's, you can actually have a video chat with that person. Very cool! It's like playing a video game.
Pam, Thanks for the info on the TG discount. If I didn't already have my knockoff TG, I'd be interested.
Waves, Liz!
