Question What is your current rotation?

I've been doing this same rotation for several months. It works as I need more rest days than I used to.

Mon: Steady State Cardio and/or Mobility and/or Balance
Tues: Upper Body Strength and Cardio Intervals
Weds: Steady State Cardio and/or Mobility and/or Balance
Thurs: Lower Body Strength & Abs
Fri: Steady State Cardio and/or Mobility and/or Balance
Sat: Upper Body Strength and Cardio Intervals
Sun: Lower Body Strength & Abs

This rotation works for me because I can plug in whatever workout I feel like in that category for the day.

Are you doing a free-style or a set rotation?

Mon. Weights and Cardio (uphill on treadmill)
Tues. Yoga and Cardio (elliptical)
Wed. Weights and Cardio (uphill on treadmill)
Thurs. Yoga and Cardio (kickboxing)
Fri. Cardio (longer-step)
Sat. Yoga
Sun. Rest (hahaha) doing laundry, yard work, etc.

Uphill walks have strengthened my knees to a large degree. I was surprised at how much better they are.
My weights are generally a KCM 30 min workout or KB
Yoga is special yoga for scoliosis

For right now, this feels right and darn good!

As mentioned in another thread, I'm sticking to a P90X rotation for the first time ever, though I am adding a lot of days to it by sticking in extra yoga, walk days, etc. I'm really loving it because I have to admit I'm having better results than I think I've had with anything except for maybe when I first started doing the Firm Volume 1 all those years ago.

I am always so drawn to the idea of coming up with the framework for a rotation like you guys have posted -- plugging in different appropriate workouts for the day's prescription, but in reality, things come up for me at random times, so I've learned I have to be flexible about just going with it and know I'm still making progress.

I don't ever stick to a rotation, aside from my generic: "weights M/W/F." Heavy, light, it doesn't matter as long as it's weights.

I always have good intentions for the other days: cardio, core, balance...but mostly I just end up doing stretchy, feel-good yoga.

I always follow a rotation but not now.

Kundalini Yoga 1-2 times a day

Brisk Rebounding and Weighted Hooping pretty much daily

Just started adding Mobility.

Soon to add Functional Strength.

Eh, I guess it’s close to a rotation when I write it out.

Funny you should ask. I have a boatload of pro bono communications work on my agenda through the end of the year (!!!) and wanted something simple but effective to keep me in workout mode. The solution? A Slim Series/Slim in 6 rotation! I am in with these workouts all over again!!

I think I'm starting Chalene Xtreme next week. Either that or something from XTFMax/Xtrainfit. I plan to rotate in other cardio though, as I think CLX only has one or two cardio workouts in the basic set.

I'll be finishing CLX in two weeks. I mixed it up with other cardio workouts. It's a great program!

Thanks Garrie! I have attempted a rotation a few times before, but never completed.
