Question Mercari

Has anyone bought anything from them? How was your experience? I saw something that is a good deal but I am always skeptical...

I am also curious because I have some stuff to sell but wondered whether it was better than Craigslist, ebay, etc.

I definitely have a lot of things that I should get rid of too! I feel like I am drowning in clutter! I am also curious about selling. I read an article last night that compared eBay, Poshmark and Mercari:

I've been a buyer on Mercari. I liked the experience and received the item quickly from the seller. I personally don't sell on the site because you don't get paid until the buyer receives and reviews your shipment. It's been a few months since I used it once so I believe that's what I had to do so the seller could get paid. They do give shipping costs upfront to ship the item.

I made my first purchase this weekend, will let you know how it goes!

I've bought on Poshmark but their shipping is so high. Seems like Mercari lets sellers set their own shipping, so they seem to price their items better.

Thanks for this! One of my main goals this year is to finally get rid of some antiques and knickknacks that I've been sitting on since my dad passed away 10 years ago. It seems like the worst time to try to sell or donate right now because SO many people are watching the Marie Kondo Netflix show and flooding thrift stores and second hand sites. Good deals for buyers, though!
