Quick lunch time eyeball break (dealing with the attack of the Mutant Excel Spreadsheets today ).

Pat - How exciting that the male ospreys are back. I keep checking the cameras but haven't seen anyone there yet. I plan to watch Robert's kestrel video next. I also like Shelly/Fabulous50s - she's so pleasant. I've done that arms work-out - a good quickie and/or add-on.

I forgot to mention that my lilac bush is in bloom. DH and I went to sit out on the porch several days ago and the gentle breeze was blowing the fragrance from the flowers toward us.

I spring! Yellow pollen and all!

A quick fly by….

Todays activities:
~Callanetics: Legs/Rear/Core
~Spring Equinox Slow Flow Yoga (YT)
~Beach & village walk
~Ocean swim

Beth - Thanks for sharing your photo. I’ve tried propping myself up higher for full saddle, but it still tweaks my lumbar spine. And I feel the stretch more with using only one bolster & doing half saddle. It’s certainly a pose that can require lots of prop adjustments.

Pat - I’m looking forward to watching the Osprey cams!

Waves to all!

Pam, definitely sounds like you know the version of saddle that works best for you!

Pat, yay, thanks for our yearly osprey fix.

Did a short yoga practice today but not a real solstice dedication. I think I might try a short meditation before bed.

Thanks for the archetype page, Beth! For saddle, maybe I'd need the right props to benefit from the pose while feeling comfortable. Your propped version looks very relaxing! So far I've been a prop minimalist, so poses similar to seal, dragon, or up swan are more practical for me. I tried half saddle and that was better.

I did a 10' awakening meditation after my yoga practice, just sitting quietly and thinking springlike thoughts - emergence after a period of rest, etc.

Yesterday I tried to post all throughout the day and night but kept getting the 500 Error. I can only post a few words today.

Oh no! I wonder if some new updates are happening - I haven't gotten the error (yet!) but haven't been able to stay logged in.

Good morning and Happy Thursday! Easy going day:

~ 5 minutes silent meditation (day 5)
~ Yin yoga class and Equinox meditation
~ 4,457 steps

Cyana, hurray for lilacs! My neighbor’s will be out in a few more weeks - they usually bloom first week in May. We’re still excited to see crocus blossoms and the tips of daffodils beginning to pop up.

Colleen, how has your foot injury been?

Paine, drat! I thought 500 days were over. A reminder to keep drafting my posts in Docs first.

Good morning to Pam, Beth, and everyone!

Hi!

I had a good final visit with my Kaiser Home Health guy this morning. Knee flexion is at 115! I got his okay to start doing seated upper body work. I asked about adding very gentle pedaling and quad stretches to my PT routine and he said okay as long as I'm careful about not overdoing it. He also encouraged short outdoor walks. I live in a townhome complex so I'm in a good area for that. My next medical appointment is outpatient PT a week from Thursday.

Forgot to add that my bandage was removed on Monday. The incision isn't exactly pretty, but it's not scary and there's no bleeding, drainage, etc. No real pain, but still some discomfort from the swelling, and I get little odd twinges and "pins and needles" sensations from time to time. Still taking Tylenol, of course.

Paine: Sorry to hear you got the 500 Error. I'm hoping those will go away as the VF website is upgraded.

Hope everyone has a great day!
