Hooked on an audiobook? And you didn't say which one?! The SHAME!

LILI
You've spoken of those gardens before - I recall searching images - lovely.

CLEDA
Not feeling like a rock star (see below) but definitely feel a LOT better when I come here.

Progress !! theme for March and be POSITIVE (theme for 2021).

DH has gone to the farm again. He warned me that he'll be home/gone on roughly a 2 week home/away rota for a while. He's on a mission to make big inroads into the house out there, aiming to finish before he's too old to do it - before he's 70 (he's 65 now), and there's much to be done.

Thank goodness for Adriene and the digital era (YouTube, internet)... they protected me from the HERD - still working through her Revolution.

Wednesday = Day 16 Sweet
Thursday = Day 17 Stillness
Friday = Day 18 Balancing
Of course, there have been dog walks as well.

Buddy has been MIA lately due to her garage build and space is tight in her house. We are BOTH looking forward to her being in a spacious setting - before April we're expecting.

It's Saturday & I MUST fight the quagmire - last time was quite bad.
The plan:
DONE Shower (to help me spark up) all clean & fresh , dressed for Adriene!
DONE 36min, Adriene - Revolution - Day 19 Light, and it WAS, next up is Alice-time.
DONE 2hrs, Walk Alice - down town, coffee, beach, breakwall, more beach, ..., now out for those weeds
DONE (mostly) an hour gardening, next door neighbour interrupted me to have Alice play with their dog out the back in shared courtyard
DONE house-work until 7:30 - then booked in to jump with buddy
DONE 39min, Chris Freytag - 10lb Slimdown Extreme - Total Body Circuit with buddy, ~8pm, she was late
• an hour school-work.... bugger that, I can have ONE day totally off work per week can't I?! Tomorrow will do.
• Cathe's Step Fit (chrono) 70min, Cathe - Step Fit for chrono didn't do it, fell into the computer, but that's ok - it had done enough
• a computer-spit something?
• that should get me rolling along well, we'll see what happens after that.

Wish me luck!

Thanks Cleda!! It's hit the evening, when I'm at my worst with DH away - YOU are the extra boost I needed!!

Had sat on the couch but did NOT turn on the TV (deadly!!). Still haven't done Step Fit yet - but it's only 9:55pm. There is still time.

Helen - to me, working out after 7pm is insane! The few times I did late runs, due to the heat, I was awake for hours after. But, you are the night owl! Sounded like a lovely walk with Alice!
Waves to Pam & Cleda!

3/4 - 30 Min. 80's Ride w/ Ben Alldis
Jessica's 360 Abs
3/5 - dog walk
Jessica's Metabolic Conditioning
Brand Fitness 3600 Steps
3/6 - dog walk
45 Min. 5 Year Anniversary Ride w/ Alex Toussant
GHU's Core Connection

I'm trying new to me instructors on Peloton, different kinds of rides, trying to get away from looking for the easy ones.
I'm also enjoying having my rotation planned out, saves so much time deciding what to do each day.
My intention for 2021 is Fearless! I've let myself be held back from all kinds of things because I was afraid, afraid of looking ridiculous, dumb, etc., afraid of failure, afraid to leave my comfort zone. This is my year to break free of fear! Well, it's still okay to be afraid of things that SHOULD scare you.

Years ago, it was definitely not uncommon for me to be doing a workout at 10 or 11pm. Didn't go & do Step Fit last night. Fell into the computer.

LOVE LOVE LOVE your fearless!!

Sunday's plans:
11am already & I've done very little besides fiddle with DVDs, so...
targets:
DONE 30min, Adriene - Revolution - Day 20 Peace, because of course
DONE go over to buddy's house play-date with our dogs
• 60min, weeding, it's never-ending
• 70min, Cathe - Step Fit - stays on the list until it gets done
• walk Alice for "us" time
• 60min, vacuuming
• a computer spit
• 60min, work - prep for coming week, at least do tomorrow
• 60min, work - ONE hour isn't going to be enough
• --- something with buddy, slotted in there somewhere
that should keep me off the couch & schlumping!

ETA Monday afternoon
with buddy, did 38min, Michelle Dozoia & Tracy York - Dance It Off & Tone It Up - Dance section

schlumped after going home from visiting as went home to an empty house.
Picked up enough to DO the workout with Kathryn, but went right back to the sclump.
Problem identified - turn on the TV. KNEW it was bad to do, but did it anyway.
NO MORE THIS WEEK - unless a really good day has been had & I've earned it.

Checking in

Lili: I love the FEARLESS also!!! Your walks in the gardens sound so nice and peaceful. (Much like Pam's hip openers). So funny the mental images we conjure up, isn't i?) But it is relaxing to read!!!

Helen: Years (and years) ago, I used to work out late also. But my days of that are (for the most part) GONE. I want to eventually get back to two sessions a day on some days. Some days I do that, most days not. Maybe when warmer weather arrives, I'll incorporate a walk or something. Although playing Occulus does count!!!

Waves to Pam & Kay and all lurkers.

Me, me and all me: (and I can't believe I haven't checked in - formally - since 3/2!!)

3/3/2021: 45 minute Power Zone challenge ride w/Olivia, 30 mins. Power Zone ride with Denis + 5 minute post ride stretch. Adrian 10 mins. Glutes & Legs strength

3/4/2021: Hydrow Sweat 15 minutes
with Mac, 45 minutes endurance Power Zone (challenge) ride with Denis & a bunch of my PZ friends! , 5 minutes post ride stretch, 5 minutes core with Ben Aldis

3/5/2021: 90 mins. endurance (Called for Challenge) Power Zone ride** (finishes the PZ week for me), 5 mins. Cool Down ride with Denis, 5 mins. Post ride stretch, 10 mins. core w/Emma, 20 mins. Glutes & Legs with Selena, 15 minutes Chest & Back with Andy

3/6/2021: Rowed 20 mins. (Inspired Connection Row with Mike), Naomi Joy 20 mins. Beginner trampoline workout, 5 mins. core with Ben Aldis

** I am pleased to announce (brag?) that I averaged 20 mph for this ENTIRE 90 mins. ride. a NEW PR for me and yes. I'm getting stronger.

Trying to tack on 5 or 10 mins. core when I can. They really are making me stronger. One of Ben's started and ended with a one minute tall plank and I'm pleased to announce I was able to do them both.

Friday's workout was a long one. I felt the need to finish the challenge rides BEFORE the weekend. I was getting my second Shingrix vaccine that afternoon and wasn't sure how I'd be by Sat. so wanted to be able to just do a light workout Sat. (which I did). It knocked the beejeepers out of me. I was able to workout, go to work, go play pokemon go, but when I got home at 6 p.m., I hit the couch and slept. on and off till I toddled off to bed and continued to sleep for another 8 hours. That's unheard of for me. But I think the worst is behind me and I'm grateful that I should not get shingles now. Thank you very much. For now --- vaccinated for life against shingles. Thank you very much.

Not sure what's on today's docket - probably something slowish ........

That's it.
Make it a great week.
Next week? The time changes. Brighter/longer days ahead. YAY!

Cleda - I'm impressed with your 20MPH pace for 90 minutes! That's amazing! Be proud!
Helen - I love your lists! Much more thought out than mine are. I love that your dogs have a play date.

a Belicon workout with Jeremy
a yoga workout with Adriene, Flow something

Hello everyone, I’m still here!

I am way behind as I wasn’t online much over the weekend. DH and I spent two nights in the city for his birthday, visited with family and enjoyed city walks & a little dining out. We stayed at a lovely hotel right on the harbour. The city is so quiet, crazy deals on Hotwire. We got home this afternoon.

March 4:
~Essentrics class on zoom
~20 min rebounding....started a new audiobook, Summer of 69 by Elin Hilderbrand, a nice light listen
~BellyFit Embodied Goddess: Honour Your Roots
~Stretchy seated & reclined yoga on my own....more hip openers, forward bends, twists, chest openers

March 5:
~Barre3 30 min cardio
~Body Groove 20 min

March 6:
~9 km city walk

March 7:
~13 km in two city walks

March 8:
~BellyFit Warrior Queen - Alice’s free International Women’s Day offering on FB
~Jessica’s 6 Mile Mix: upper body sculpt

My feet are feeling it so as I write this I’m relaxing with my yoga toes on. I need some yoga tomorrow!

Waves to all & I’ll catch up in a day or two!

Pam - It sounds like a lovely weekend with lots of walking!

3/8 - dog walk
Jessica's Brain Fitness Fun
30 Min. Peloton Run w/ Jess King
3/9 - dog walk
GHU's Indoor Interval Walk
30 Min. Power Zone Endurance 80's Ride w/ Denis Morton. I liked this one alot, even though I have no clue what zone I'm in. He did give pointers that Zone 2 you should be able to breathe with your mouth closed and Zone 3 you should be able to hold a conversation.
