Thank you Donna. I never thought I'd be dealing with altered BP, weak immune system, taste issues, and sporatic fatigue almost 4 months after having Covid. What a mess.

We have my nutrition pretty well dialed in, but the moving part is still being figured out. Too much intensity causes metabolism and adrenal issues. It really is a balancing act.

When it comes to strength training, I am all about the simple, slow and not too many reps and sets!

If you find a Youtube video you like but it's too fast, remember that you can slow it down under the settings (the gear icon). I've done this for step workouts.

I remember really liking these-
Healing Through Movement with Zayna Gold (clip on Total Fitness Dvds)
Strong Bones Yoga with Christine Dormaier
Both use weights slow and controlled

Penny, for most of the thread I though you meant Kathy Smith's Project You Type 2. I see that it was Leandro's YouV2 workouts that you meant.

I've pretty much always been an Intermediate exerciser - with a few advanced ones here and there. And plenty of beginners. I often prefer beginner workouts because it is so easy to modify up.

I like slow and controlled in any kind of workout. I recently did an old Susan Powter strength workout where the moves were slow, controlled and well-cued.

I can never understand how Cathe can do a 70-minute workout and still be in such a hurry! What's the rush?

Alta, I do have Project You Type 2, but have yet to try it.
I am so much better at buying workouts than actually doing them.

I agree about modifying up a beginner workout.

I recently found Gin Miller's Build Up Your Muscle workouts. She's shared them on YouTube and they're great!

(All 4 workouts are on the one link, but it's no biggie to skip ahead.)

I immediately thought of Tracie Long workouts. I definitely would say she is calm and the pace of her workouts is not too fast. Also, she is a great at cuing and explaining. I think her workouts are mostly intermediate.
