10 Minute Solution Pilates

Are these 10 Minute Solution dvds good for a relative newbie to Pilates:
  • Pilates Perfect Body with Suzanne Bowen
  • Slim and Sculpt Pilates with Suzanne Bowen
  • Pilates for Beginners with Lara Hudson
  • Tighten and Tone Pilates with Lara Hudson

Also, for the ones with band work, do you really feel the band and use it a lot in the workout? These two are the ones I'm most interested in. I also feel like they would be good to use on really hot days when my AC is broken (like it is now, hee hee).

My favorite 10MS Pilates is the Slim & Sculpt - Suzanne Bowen with the band. I have all of them. I think the band adds a lot.

I love the Suzanne Bowen ones. Tracey Mallett also has a pilates workout that has five 10 minute segments that use a playground ball (mini exercise ball). It's probably in my top ten favorite workouts that I own

I think the 10 MS Pilates for Beginners and Kristin McGee's Pilates for Beginners are good. I know Ana Caban has a beginner workout too, that people enjoy. I like the true beginner workouts so you really learn form and cueing.

Lisa Pentony of Pilates by Lisa has a great 14 day Beginners Series that is progressive. At the end, you are repeating the same flow, just adding more reps, so you have learned it all by day 10-and she has a 10 day free trial.

I like them all, Bubbles!

Also check out You Tube for some other options as well.

This channel has a 10 day series to teach the classic sequence:

I also agree that Lisa's beginner series is very well done. I completed it and enjoyed it and felt worked by it, too, even though I have dabbled in Pilates for years.

There are a few good You Tube channels - Jessica Valent Pilates, Ange's Pilates, Trifecta Pilates, Strong Pilates (I think that is right??), eFit, just to name a few.

Donna has great suggestions. She really researches YT Pilates resources.

Jessica Valant does have some good beginner stuff and she is a PT, as well.

Thanks, Cheri - I am too cheap and my attention span is too short for me to commit to a paid subscription, so thank heavens for You Tube!!!

Thanks everyone! And thanks for the youtube recommendations. I like having a dvd because sometimes I have streaming issues, but youtube is good for variety.

I have 3 of those you mention. The 2 from Suzanne Bowen and the Lara Hudson Rapid Results and I love them all. I just did the slim & sculpt one with the band by Suzanne Bowen today!!! The band works great in this one. My fav is the perfect Pilates body by Suzanne. You can't go wrong with any of them.
