Double KBs?

I love my KB workouts, but so far I've stuck pretty much to the classics.

Now that I'm branching out, I've picked up a few double bell workouts. I know this might sound stupid, but I'm a little intimidated by the idea of swinging or otherwise moving 2 KBs at the same time.

I have this fear that I'll suddenly spazz out and hit myself in the knee. Or worse, try for a clean and somehow knock myself out.

Are there helpful tutorials on youtube on how to make the jump to swinging / cleaning/pressing doubles? Any hints or tips?

Hi Bex,

I've never searched for YT tutorials. While I have a double kb workout, I've never done it because I don't have a matching kb. I don't know, I would hope the instructor would provide good form and pointers for you. What kind of moves are they doing? You can always try it with dumbells first or start with lighter bells. Not much help I know.

It may seem daunting, but it is doable. I was doing kbells a while before I got into double stuff. By that time, I was pretty comfortable with my form and the bells. I learned all about kbells from YT videos from known certified/respected instructors. I watched as well as read different info on how to do the moves. (For cleans, remember not to crush the girls. So your arms will end up just outside the frame of the girls. No locking hands together.) Definately get comfy with the clean & press before progressing to the snatch. It helps to look at several instructors so you can get a good understanding of what you should be doing. Here are a few along with some workouts I have used.
