So, Henry, what are you reading? I have still been trying to find a Yoga Nidra that I like (not that I dislike; it just hasn't resonated with me the way some people talk about). I have a practice saved in my YouTube "watch later" folder by Dr. Melissa West, as I generally like her; maybe I can do it today! I'm also thinking I might like it better in an actual class setting, and there are a few options for that locally.

This morning I went to a Flow & Restore yoga class that was very nice, although the only "restore" part was a long shavasana at the end (nice, but I like other restorative too!). Also, the schedule said that it was 75 minutes and it was only an hour, so that was a little disappointing.

Catching up!

Saturday, Sadhana Day 26 - Tias Little, Building Better Bones in Yoga.

Sadhana Day 27 - my YTT grandniece led me and her mother in a private yoga class at the arts center where she works.

Sadhana Day 28 - took a break from binge reading and worked on some of the asana from my niece's class: lunge-y variations and kneeling half moon pose.

The yoga class with my grandniece was heavenly. She challenged us but it was still doable, with some shaking and grunting/groaning both on my part and my niece's part. She began with an open heart meditation, and after savasana she led us in a so hum meditation.

Pat, how sweet that you could do yoga with your grand-niece!

Pam, that sounds like a nice sequence--did you do it yin-style?

I have to be at work a little late tonight; I'm going to try to get in meditation during the day and a quick asana practice tonight.

Beth - my heart was just bursting with love and pride. She really has the soul for it - uses nice metaphors, gives good adjustments, etc.

Sounds wonderful! My own metaphors tend to be very goofy.

She had a nice playlist too - a little Jai Uttal, John Lennon and George Harrison, Marvin Gaye, Amy Winehouse and some more current stuff. The Beatle-y Marvin Gaye songs were not the usual radio ones.

Okay I'm done bragging now.
