Question Quarantine Book Series help

I'm looking for a good book series to read during my down time. I'm looking for something suspenseful, nothing too violent or even something more light hearted but not an Evanovich-wanna-be. Some of my favorite authors are Michael Connelly, William Kent Krueger, Steven James and Janet Evanovich. I've read the Jack Reacher series, tons of Grisham, Joe Nesbo, Nelson DeMille, David Baldacchi and many more of the popular ones out there.

I'm not a fan of historic fiction, fantasy or sci-fi.

I can't seem to find something that grabs my attention so I thought I'd ask VF! Hoping to get some good ideas here. Thanks!!

Recommendations from my bibliophile friend for you to investigate.
What about
  • the Rizzoli and Isles series by Tess Gerritsen?
  • Or Kathy Reichs Bones series?
  • Or Ludlum's Bourne books?
  • Patterson's Alex Cross?
  • Oh, and Nevada Barr (If you like Krueger, you usually like her too.

I will try to come up with suggestions later. I have a "women in mystery " reference book which has categories of authors. I also liked Diane Mott Davidson's books.

I like Susan Wittig Albert's China Bayles series and Ellen Hart's Jane Lawless series.

I love, love, love Louise Penny's Inspector Gamache series! A friend recommended Donna Leon's Commisario Guido Brunetti series to me, and I'm reading my way through it and enjoying it very much.

Tarquin Hall has a series of mystery novels centered on an Indian private investigator. It's light hearted enough while also being interesting and educational on the many aspects of Indian life.

I love Deborah Crombie's mysteries featuring Gemma James and Duncan Kincaid: https://www.cozy-mystery.com/Deborah-Crombie.html. It's probably best to read them in order. They are British police procedural mysteries (written by a Texan). Not exactly "cozy", but not filled with gore or bad language either, with great character development. There are around 18 books in the series to date.

Just wanted to chime in and say I've read no fiction since all of this started -- just can't get into it. I'm listening to a bunch of podcasts -- for some reason I can pay attention to those. Good luck in your quest!
