Smile Liift 4 done!

I just completed 8 weeks of LIIFT 4. I have to say, for me, this was the easiest routine to stick to. With only 4 workouts a week, I was able to complete it and not miss a single workout. Did I do a lot of modifying, you bet! Did I hit pause sometimes, you bet. Did I sometimes have to modify the modifier....yes!

For results, I am down about 6 pounds and I have lost 2.5 inches on my waist, 1.5 inches from my hip and about a inch from my bust. I didn't really measure my arms or legs as I tend to carry most of my weight in my mid-section and have spindly arms and legs.

Now for the non-scale victories. I am stronger. My energy has increased. My butt is lifting ( yes my biggest critic ,my daughter, was the first to point that out). My calves are taking on a nice shape ( as opposed to ruler shape). I am sleeping better. Once tight pants now fit or are a little to big( Yay, I can dry them on high heat now!) My muffin top has gone down significantly!

Do I have a ways to go before I hit my fitness goal, yes. But I feel with this program I was able to lift heavy safely ( it moves at a slower lifting pace that workouts I have done in the past). Joel really gives good form pointers. Am I'm still about 15-20 pounds heavier than I think I should be but I feel that I am moving in the right direction.

The most amazing thing is that my eating was horrible ( stress eater) and I was still able to make these results.

I think I may take a few days off ( until my power blocks get here) and then restart it with adding in the nutrition this time.

I know that 5-6 lbs is not a lot , or the 5inches lost, but I am doing a victory lap!

I think that is fabulous! Good for you for sticking it out! I'll admit, this program has me considering renewing my BBOD subscription. I love weights (hate cardio, though, but this seems doable).

Very good! I just have two days left.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the series. Joel's form pointers are really good, and he's charming. I liked that each workout was new - it always felt fresh.

I'm stronger and I don't have any aches or pains from the workouts. I'll do it again sometime, but probably not right away.

Congratulations on finishing! I think your results are fabulous. The rotation looks good to me. I’m planning to do this when it’s available on BOD in October. I also modify the modifier. How’s the impact? I got hit by a car in April. No jumping at all for me.

The modifier does not jump at all. For Instance, when the rest of the crew are doing 180 squat jumps, the modifier is doing a regular squat and then comes up on their toes. No impact what so ever. If the rest of the crew are doing side to side squat jumps, the modifier just moves side to side into the squat! very doable. The only move I had trouble with initially were triple bears. this is where you are on all fours, lift your knees off the ground and small jump or step side to side ( center, right side , center , left side) sometimes my knees didn't even like the modification, so you can just hold the position for the duration of the exercise. The idea is to do you best with the exercise at your level and just move to improve. It got to the point were I could do the triple bears, but I just listened to my body!

I think those are great results. I can't wait to start it in October.

Right now I am playing around with other systems. Finishing up a little obsessed (the 5 day one) and thinking about what to do next week.

I think those are wonderful achievements, especially since you weren't eating so great. Well done!!

ETA - How heavy were the weights you used if you don't mind my asking?

Congrats! Those are amazing results. Just curious, what do you do on the off days since LIIFT is only 4 days a week? Are those rest days?
