What's your favorite UB workout to do when...

What's your favorite UB workout to do when you've taken a few weeks off of UB work and want to get back into the groove?

Just looking for some inspiration...

Thanks!

I haven't taken time off from upper body work in years, but when I want to get back to the basics and do a workout that's effective without overkill I reach for Cathe's Pure Strength series.

Thanks for the ideas! I had an UB routine going, but of course, something came up to throw me off-track the last few weeks. I was able to keep up my running and some LB work at least. I kept questioning whether I should to push-ups/pull-ups in the meantime, but I kept putting it off thinking I'd do an UB workout the next day, and this silly cycle repeated so I ended up doing nothing.

I think I might end up doing Ripped & Chiseled. Something not too tough to get me back into the groove...

I'd say any upper body workout would do, just go easy on the the bodyweight exercises. All you have to do is lighten your weights. If doing push-ups and pull-ups are causing you to dread working the upper body, I'd stick with weights for a while. It's better than doing nothing.

My go to is the upper body section of Body Max, but I go easy on the push-ups if I haven't done them in a while.

-Great Weighted Workout Karen Voight (standing portion, 35m) is GREAT for high rep arm work. I get the most DOMS from this workout, seriously.

-Squeeze Stronger (upper body portion, ~20 minutes w/out waist work) is another great high rep burner for the arms. (The original Squeeze is also really good, just shorter and less intense).

-Firm Upper Body compilation. This is 35 minutes with warm up and final stretch. This is a great moderate poundage upper body workout.

-Firm BSS4 Jiggle Free Arms. This is a great AWT workout with moderate poundage and aerobic intervals.

-10 Days to a Better Body (upper body section) As previously mentioned, another low-moderate poundage and aerobic interval workout for the upper body.
