Doorway too big for pull up bar !

Hi,

I'm finally getting around to putting in a pullup bar in my new house. The doorway opening is 37 inches. The biggest pullup bar is for doors 36 inches or smaller.

Has anyone else solved this problem ? Found an usually long pull up bar or come up with another contraption ?

No, but I have a different problem with my 1931 house. The door frame on top is too wide for the bar to fit. I tried it at work and I hit your problem. So I had to give my bar away.
