I have the Perfect Push-up thingies and I really like them. I don't recall my hands swiveling.

My hands only move a little bit, like an inch or two. If anything, it makes it less stressful. I have wrist and shoulder problems.

It is actually VERY good for the wrists that it does swivel a bit. I think that is a big part of the reason that it does move, so that you get no pressure on those delicate wrist bones, your hands will move with the pressure. I think the stronger you are with your pushups, the less swivel you will get, as your body is locked into place, and indeed, it is so much better for the wrists!

LOL, not necessarily, I'm sure they are not identical either, some surely swivel more easily, etc. I have a wonky shoulder and wrists, so I am likely to be causing the movement. It isn't as if they are turning like crazy, but it doesn't take much at all to make the movement harder, especially considering I am a push-up wus as it is! I am definitely going to try using my ankle weights, but am going to pull out my perfect pu helpers too! On my way to do kettlebells with Lauren!!

I have been doing a lot of barre work lately and am feeling like I need some different work today. TA!

Thoughts on "100 pushups"-like programs for other exercises?

Of course, these aren't the only possible programs in the world. I just might've been able to catch them sooner. (Nothing yet there on pullups or chinups, apparently, though.)

Since they're a little off-topic here and deserve their own threads anyway, I'll start a new thread soon about this type of thing.
I posted it only now: "Thoughts on '100 pushups'-like programs for other exercises?"
