Talking 19 years - time for a change!

I have been working out consistently for the past nineteen years. I had phases of going to the gym and doing workouts at home. I have done AWT, circuits, slow weight and fast weight lifting, endurance workouts, strength workouts, heavy weights and light weights - no matter what program I have been doing, in essence, it was always weights and cardio. I am extremely healthy and these workouts have done my body good as I am not prone to injury at all (even if I roll my ankle or fall on concrete).

I just ordered Ultimate Yogi and am planning on doing the program as is for 108 days. I have never done just a yoga routine for a prolonged period of time and I am looking forward to that experience.

Hopefully it holds true that in order to see change you have to do a change!

Have fun playing with a new way of working out. Be sure to report back as to what happens. A lot of people seem to be considering this type of change, so I'm sure it would be useful to hear your experiences.

Congrats on your consistency, that's really impressive! I've dabbled in UY workouts, never committing to the full 108 days, and Travis is a great instructor. Have fun.

I'm in the process of making that change. I've been doing high intensity heavy weights for over 16 years. I think my body is tired. I ordered UY about two weeks ago. I've done 4 of the practices so far. I could never do yoga for very long. The time flys with these DVDs. I plan to follow the order of the calendar but adding some cycling and kickboxing and maybe some light weights.

Day One Done - 107 to go

First of all, I cannot believe how quickly I got The Ultimate Yogi set from Mary. I ordered Saturday morning and I got it today, Monday!

I took the plunge and did day 1: CrossTrain, Hardcore, and a 10 Meditation for a total of 85 minutes! I also took a before picture and wrote down my current weight. Maybe there will be something to blog about on day 108.

The workouts felt good! I am no die-hard yogi but I am really pleased with my first experience of the set.
