T-tapp Broom

It's not marketed as such, but the first section on the DVD is a 30 minute warm up for the broom workout, and that 30 minutes has become my go-to back care workout.

For me, it rehabilitates every single ligament and muscle that attaches to the spine.

Kelly Coffey Meyers' Your Healthy Back. I don't have back issues, but sometimes when my back feels "off," I'll do this one. It works for me.

Bob Klein's Chinese Yoga, too.

I just go bob Klein Chinese Yoga this week, based on a rec from this board and I love it.
Mimi Solaire's Deep Stretch is my go to for my back. I do about 40 minutes- back and legs, that is wonderful
Insight Yoga Heaven with Sarah Powers is also very relaxing to my back.

Thanks Demeris! I have that DVD but haven't done it in a really long time. I forgot about that warm up and my back has been funky from not enough sleep and too much stress at work.

I like Allaire Back Fitness, although it's really more "Core" fitness. I don't do it as often as I should.

My favorites:

Suzanne Deason - Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss and Pilates Conditioning for Weight Loss, and also AM/PM Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss
Rodney Yee - Yoga for Athletes
Barbara Benagh - Pretty much all of her "Body Wisdom" DVDs
Jill Miller - Post Athletic Stretch and Quick Fixes
Karen Voight - Stretch workouts (any)
Debbie Siebers - Slim & Limber
Lee Holden - 7 Min of Magic PM extended
Classical Stretch - Back Care (and others)

I have Allaire but with the exception of one "episode" which is more restorative in nature, the rest are more core work. And, like Carol, I should do it more often.

Hi,

Well, Season 1 progresses in order from beginner to more advanced. So, it is hard to pick a "favorite". As I recall each episode has the following components:

an Abdominal Exercise
an extension type exercise
a plank/stabilization exercise
a stretching exercise

It is possible I'm missing something as I haven't done these in awhile, but I would describe them as core-strengthening PT type stuff

They are filmed in a nice setting and the instructor is pleasant and cues and describes the movements well. She is a Chiropractor, so she has some training for these types of exercises.

Hope that helps!
