2 Teens Hospitalized After Doing 1,000 Squats Each
I saw this on TV this morning:
https://www.livescience.com/66054-te...is-squats.html It reminds me of a story one of my fitness class instructors told us some time back. There was a woman who was taking her first spin class and apparently she overdid it big time. She also ended up with rhabdomyolysis and, if I remember correctly, she actually died! |

[QUOTE=
I don't know that I had much more sense at that age, though, to be fair![/QUOTE] I probably still don't. I can see people doing 1000 rep challenges. Not exactly the same because of variations but there are 1000 rep workouts out there. For example, here's one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXz8y5isljM&t=10s Linda only mentions variations to keep from getting bored, not for safety: "You will do 100 reps per exercise for a total of 10 exercises to give you a 1000 rep workout! So that there is no boredom factor there will be variations for each exercise so you won't be doing straight reps." |
