There was a time when I was Advanced Plus and Did Leslie for cardio. I would do months of her workouts then switch to something else. I found it effective!

I consider myself high intermediate/low advanced, but I don't like a lot of high impact. I do a Leslie workout about once a week, maybe more often if I've been sick or injured. I often beef it up with light weights or a weighted vest. I think they can be effective if you put the effort into it.

A weighted vest! I believe I was thinking about that a while ago. I could start with wrist weights maybe. I was thinking just to get some cardio and for days I can't use certain muscle groups. Just wanted to make sure it was enough. Looks like I could use my own music too. Recommend a weighted vest again?
"Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home - 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk (2008)" This one says it is intermediate to advanced? Do you recommend this one?

I am a 100% fan of the weighted vest. It's boosted a lot of my low impact workouts, and I figure the added weight must be good weight bearing exercise to prevent osteoporosis too. I have a 10 pound Danskin one that my husband found at a sporting goods store. As for harder Leslie workouts, the 5 Mile one you mentioned is good. Personally, 5 miles of Leslie is more than I usually want so I just do a mile or two at a time as an add-on to something else. Other ones I like are Walk Slim 3 Fast Miles, Walk Slim 4 Really Big Miles, and her Burn Body Fat set that comes with sand-filled hand weights. I also like the Biggest Loser Power Walk workout with the vest. One of the miles uses hand weights and another uses a medicine ball. By the way, I never jog or do anything high impact with the vest on. If Leslie does some of her "boosted walking/jogging" I just walk fast.

If you have a Tuesday Morning near you, they have the Cathe weighted vest. I have one and to me, it's comfortable.

I think they were $24.99.

I now have 3 of Leslie's weighted belts along with her soft hand weights, a pair of 1 and 2 lbs. I just take the weighted belt (2 lbs) and loop the soft handweights onto it. If you've already got the items, no need for a weighted vest.

The Walk Off Even More Weight Kit with belt is on sale at Sam's Club for $13.88. I bought it for back up and that gave me my 3rd belt. They're also quite comfortable!

FYI: Mary has (or had) the soft hand weights from Leslie, the same ones she uses in the Burn Body Fat Series. Cheap and if you purchase over $19 you get free shipping on those as well. I again, stocked up when Mary had these on sale as you can use them with most any workout and they comfortable to hold.

Amazon has it for $10.99, I am thinking of snatching it up. Is 2lbs enough though to make a difference? Hmmmm, thinking here lol
