I have been a long-time lurker and part-time poster (and full-time vidiot!) and have not been here for a very long time. Eight months ago Friday (and funny enough, also on a Friday the 13th), I got the news that every woman fears she will hear in her lifetime. It feels like a life-time ago since that day. I finished chemo in November and had my final reconstruction surgery in December and now even have a bit of hair!
Today I officially re-launched my workout life! Woo! It was great to clear the dust off the TV and pop in a DVD! Hello Leslie!
Here is my plan: a 3 day rotation, no rest days needed:
Day 1 - a 30 minute Leslie plus an episode of Classical Stretch
Day 2 - a barre workout - any from my collection
Day 3 - an outdoor walk (or a long Leslie if the weather is bad)
In the spring, I will be ready to start running again and will start with my old friend, the couch-to-5K program. I also plan to "earn" seasons 7 and 8 of Classical Stretch working through the ones I already have.
I am so happy to get back to a part of my life that was always so important to me.
Oh, Penelope, congratulations on your recovery and [[hugs]] for all you've been through!!!
What an inspiration to those of us with health challenges that are nothing like yours, thank you & God bless!!!
Jeri
