Latest Cardio science....

From what I have been reading in my endless quest of exercise research is that the new protocol for cardio is 15 min of HiiT followed my 15-30 min of steady State. Just when you think you've figured it out, they shake it all up!

I smell a conspiracy designed to cause people who frequent VF forum to part with their money. Wonder how long before the videos start coming out. LOL

actually, the cosgrove/nrol crowd have been saying this for quite a while. That said, I haven't seen any videos follow it...yet

Just wait a bit and a new study will say something else.

very true. Cause that's how science works. More validation that we should keep doing what we actually enjoy

And I think I still have my paperwork when I joined a particular gym in the mid-80s and that's exactly what they prescribed.

Us vidiots have been working out like that for years! Karen Voight Energy Sprint, Cathe Kick Punch & Crunch and Cathe Kickmax bootcamp premix fit the bill, sort off!

I remember reading about this style of cardio on a fat loss site. I wonder if it's more effective than doing steady state with fast intervals spaced in periodically over the whole workout.

It makes sense though, that you'd burn more calories if throw in some intense phases into your steady state workouts.

I know that I have to be good and warm before doing fast intervals so I would find doing them first to be hard. Also is it a good idea to do Hiit or intervals every day?
