Total Max Mixers - Week of July 11

Starting us off for the week.

Friday’s workout was PHA 2 premix #3 and yesterday was a 30 minute walk that got interrupted. (Was intended to be longer. Darrell called and came and picked me up…had to go to my parents to bring them our generator because their power went out. I went for a 30 minute bike ride later in the afternoon too.

JBliff - Oh that stinks about your wrist. I hope it starts feeling better soon.

Karen - How did your race go? No, we didn’t go to the cabin this weekend. Probably not for 2 weeks then we will go up to the cabin for the weekend and stay until Monday, then we are taking my parents and going up to Munising (in the upper peninsula) to Pictured Rocks for a little mini vacation.

Gibbee - Good to hear from you!

Thanks for starting us off Cher. I am thinking about you and your wrist Jbliff. Can you still do the elliptical?

Cher the race went well. Trail running is so very different from road racing. These are very technical mountain bike trails for the most part. This one was not as hit as the last one, or quite as hilly, but OMG the ROOTS. You just had to watch every step to keep from tripping. Of course that makes you a lot slower. But it was a gorgeous trail, shady, and we had lots of fun. And no one fell! Good workouts yesterday! I have a friend who just got back from Michigan and she posted gorgeous pictures. I will check out your link. Gonna do a 20 minute recovery treadmill run today.

Vannie and Gibbee hope you weekends are going well.

Normally I don’t workout on Sunday but I have my appointment tomorrow morning with the retinal specialist so I know I won’t workout tomorrow so this morning I did SJP Warm-up and step combos and PP Lower Body exercises and stretch.

Karen - Wow that race sounds interesting. Sounds like your brain gets a workout paying attention to everything too! Where in Michigan did your friend go?

Hi all. Thanks for the well wishes for my wrist. It is getting better, thank goodness. The pain didn't last as long as the first time I hurt it, but the wrist is still a bit tender. I can do the elliptical but it gets so boring!

Saturday we went to a farm about 40 miles away and met up with some friends. We went to pick peaches, berries, and plums and then had lunch and ended up at a winery near there and shared a nice bottle of wine. At dinner time we went to a small town on the way home, had dinner and listened to a band playing outdoor. It was great fun. It's the first time since the pandemic that we've been around so many people!

Cher - Those pictures you linked to are beautiful! They reminded me a lot of the California coast. Good luck with the retina specialist.

Karjoy
- Sounds like a great trail run.

Waves to all. Have a good day.

Jbliff glad your wrist is already a little better. Maybe you didn’t tweak it as badly as you thought. Sounds like an idyllic weekend. And time to walk, have a nice meal, and enjoy some wine.

Cher those photos of Pictured Rock were simply gorgeous. In every sunny picture of Michigan I see the sky is always so very blue and the scenery so clear.

Drive by: 3.6 mile run this am and Total Body strength at Burn.

Waves to Gibbee and Vannie.

No workout yesterday but I did go for about a 25 minute walk in the afternoon. My eye about went well. No retinal tears in my right eye. He said my left eye had a tear a while back but looks like it healed itself so it’s good now too.

JBliff - Your day Saturday sounds really nice! Hopefully your wrist gets better quickly for you.

Karen - I love the UP (Upper Peninsula). It’s got some beautiful areas along all the coasts.

Waves to Gibbee and Vannie!

Quickie for now: got home last night after a week in Indiana with my family. I did run two times and went for one walk but that was the extent of my fitness quest. I ate a bunch of desserts and hope Friday's weigh in won't be too painful! This week will be a reset getting back into my routine. I will run this week and next week I will resume my rotation. It was a good week but it's good to be home!

Glad to see you back Vannie and also glad you had a good week with your family.

I’m resting today and just wanted to say hi.

We’re deep in the heat and humidity of summer. Yuck….
