Thank you Ellen Barrett

I have sort of been floundering around. Not feeling like doing anything. Nothing appeals and I have to keep reminding myself that this is important especially as you get older. I forced myself last Sunday to pull out Ellen Barrett and do StretchSculpt. It worked. I had a great time and really felt much better afterwards.
So I have been dong Ellen's workouts all week. Got me right back into the groove plus I feel much less stiff, more flexible and the cramp in my hamstring is gone. Saved. Thank you Ellen.
Got out my P57's for next week.

Good job, Phyllis - funny, I have been feeling burned out on my program this week - maybe I need a little Ellen in my life to spice things up?

Yup maybe you should give it a try. Worked for me. I am usually pretty good about doing something but this time I lost it or at least nearly lost it. Saved by Ellen. I always think that no matter what you do...lift heavy, etc an Ellen workout occasionally can be beneficial.

Awesome! I've been thinking of revisiting Ellen. It's nice to have something to get you out of your funk!

Stretch Sculpt is the only one of Ellen's workouts I could ever get all the way through - it doesn't have the things that annoy me in her other workouts.

I go on Ellen binges once inawhile where all I'll do is Ellen/walking stuff (Leslie/Jessica) and some yoga - I always feel so energetic. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of just adding in some barre work and combining them all and basically sticking with the program.

Did either of you ever do this? Or anyone else for that matter? I mostly work out with Ellen and Jessica (YouTube), and I've been dabbling in CS and a little barre from the library. I'm not one for following specific rotations, but I could use some general guidelines. The one problem with fusion is that it's harder to classify them, at least in my mind. If anyone has any input I'd love to hear it!

Hi,

I was trying to think about a good rotation for myself. I don't know if you know about Robin Long/The Balanced Life but she is putting out a 30 day Pilates challenge for March (Short workouts - 10 min a day).

http://thebalancedlifeonline.com/fin...ody-challenge/

And this is sort of what I had in mind to do for March.

Day 1 Robin’s Pilates Challenge & Cardio & CS

Day 2 Robin’s Pilates Challenge & Cardio & CS

Day 3 Robin’s Pilates Challenge - Barre/Fusion - Yoga

Day 4 Robin’s Pilates Challenge - Cardio & CS

Day 5 Robin’s Pilates Challege - Barre/Fusion - Yoga

Day 6 Robins Pilates Challenge - Cardio & CS

Day 7 Robin’s PIlates Challenge - Barre/Fusion - Yoga

*rest day* wherever needed

I just want to focus on what feels good these days. I was thinking about doing Jessica's Walk Strong next month but I am not feeling the "love" for traditional weight work right now (and from what i understand her rotation includes it, son not being in the mood for it will likely cloud my judgement on this set!).

For barre/fusion - that could be traditional barre or Ellen/Jessica's fusion-y stuff.

Cardio will likely be low impact walking, maybe some biking, maybe some step, whatever I'm in the mood for, etc.

Yoga - short stretchy segments....
